I'm feeling tired. I don't know exactly why, as I've been getting the doctors recommended daily allowance of sleep. Not that I go to doctors very often, or not at all because I'm healthy as can be, but I read somewhere a long time ago that doctors recommended a certain amount of sleep per night. I don't remember what that amount of time is, offhand, but I am sure I am getting it and not being kept up late with gratuitous amounts of loving. You don't want to hear about that, though, unless you do, in which case I say "Too bad, I don't engage in relations with a woman and tell about it." So, suffer like I am suffering with being tired. Anyway, News Time!
E. Smith went after the Baroness of Dockside, Sabine Gabrielle last week in order to try and gain another Barony, however despite being down by a score of 4-1 and managing a fairly impressive comeback, Sabine held on to gain the win and retain her Barony by the score of 5-3 in 13 rounds. Well dueled you two!
The results of the challenge for Battlefield Park are in! Guaire Bryne had to face off against Maggie Harker, Baroness of Old Market, who, as the Senior Baroness and per the rules had to champion the vacant Barony, in a single shot battle in which the little Baroness prevailed by the score of 5-3. This leaves the title of Battlefield Park as vacated, so stay tuned to hear about the fate of this Barony! Signs point to a Warlord Tournament prize!
Finally, the Old, Lazy Overlord Matt Simon is challenged by Baroness Seaside Vaeluthil Rosemary Marigold Whitevale! This challenge is scheduled to be fought on Friday at 10:30 PM RST, after which I shall still remain a Renegade Baron. I can't speak for anyone else, of course, so it's sure to be entertaining!
Nothing is going on in the Outback, but the IFL playoff finals are coming up! Dirty Black and Team Fist are going to duke it out soon!
On the Island of Twilight, the Archmage Tournament was fought and instead of the usual winning being eligible to challenge for Archmage, that title was up for grabs as the top prize! Coming out victorious was one Rachel Blackthorne, congratulations!
It's definitely a slow week, and that's okay. A lot has happened in recent times so I suspect the current lull is a result of over-exposure and the standard 'up and down' activity that occurs within all the sports. It's nothing to worry about and after people get their rest, doctor recommended or otherwise, I have little reason to doubt that things will pick up again and everyone will be happy or fighting with each other over silly little things that make no sense whatsoever. All of this makes for an interesting dealio!
Since a long time ago, almost 200 people have died falling through the ice and a large portion of them were ice fishermen. The public safety agencies often receive requests from people wanting to know if the ice is "safe" on a particular lake. Of course, that is a very difficult question for us to answer, since ice is never 100 percent safe. Even during the coldest winter, ice conditions can vary greatly on the same body of water. We recommend folks check with someone who is near the particular lake for information. Local shops are a valuable source for ice condition updates. Every day they deal with people who are out on the ice drilling holes and checking the thickness. So, if you want to be sure to dump a body off that won't be found until the Spring Thaw, checking local shops is the best way to find out if it's safe for you to go out, drill a hole, dump the body, and let it freeze over again!
