Challenge News

Hello arena patrons, it's me again, G. As previously stated, being the Patron Saint of the Arena, I am doing the news once more! What can I say, I can't get enough of helping out my lovely assistant. Especially when she gives you those eyes that you just cannot say no to. Unless it involves money. Then, well, things change. Anyway, time for the weeks news!

First and most important, we talk about me. I said I was gonna do it, I had a goal, and I wanted it. So, I challenged Jackson Gray for New Haven and having chosen a single shot, I came out blasting and did exactly what I said, or what my advocate Saul Heyman, said I was going to do. I became the new Baron of New Haven, thus completing the Septimus goal and having held all the Baronies. Also, my fourteeth Barony over all. Hey, I'm just tooting my own horn. Toot toot!

Second, there's been some back and forth, and others have added their two bits, but Anubis and Myria's challenge is still waiting for a time and date. It's been accepted and they're in negotiation for that, but we all know how long and drawn out it's going to be. It's Anubis, it's going to be elaborate. Myria would probably rather a drink and a smoke and done deal. Oh, those Grazianos.

The only other thing of note, is the Overlord, Rand alTan, has given his Summer Overlord Grant to the young Mairead Harker. No word on who, exactly, she's going to challenge, but time is running out! I hope whoever it is doesn't mind hitting a child.

Also, Jewell is holding a party on the Docks this Saturday. It's a dress up thing she's throwing in honor of herself and winning the Dockside Barony! Go enjoy dueling the Swords duels, because for this day, Losses won't count against your Record!

I'll be nice and add some other things regarding the other sports. I don't usually, but it's nice to have some filler. It's like, oats and soy.

Over in the Outback, there's a tournament going on called in Iron Man Fire and Ice Tournament. I don't know what it is, but it's for two of the Opals and sounds pretty interesting.

Over on the newly reopened Twilight Island, they had their Archmage Tournament and that Jade Alcar chickadee won it. Probably used that steely gaze to steal the victory. And she'll be fighting Drowboy Spider notwritinghislastname on Sunday at Ten-ish, if you're interested!

That's all the news I have this week, folks. Remember, the smallest moments can have the biggest impact on a child's life. Take time to be a parent today. After all, we need future duelists!
