Later this week we’ll see the Archmage Challenge take place between myself, Sheridan “Dris” Driscol, and current reigning Archmage Rachael Blackthorne! This epically magical best of three showdown is happening on Wednesday, June 26th at 9:00 PM right here on Twilight Isle! Will I finally rise up to take my place among the stars, or will Rachael send me packing once again? We’ll find out this week!
Note: Nikolai Aristotle Vevea-Allen won the Tidecaller’s Trident on 3/17/24 in the Spring All Ranks tournament. This awards the usage of Elemental Fury in regulation matches until the next All Ranks tournament.
AROUND THE CITY
Pride Week 2024 was a roaring success! The festivities began with the 6th annual painting of the Rainbow Roads! There was a wonderful assortment of movies to watch at the drive-in on Monday, with a Rainbow Ruckus block party on Tuesday, and so much more! The entire week’s worth of festivities closed this past Friday with the 4th Annual Everybody Prom, and Saturday parade March to the Future with fireworks at Seaside! What a wonderful way to celebrate RhyDin’s diversity! Thank you, Governor Gatito Lindo!
NEWS FROM OTHER VENUES: Things have been quiet over in the Outback this past week. Hopefully we’ll see some more challenge action hit the boards soon! The next Diamond Quest is still a month away. Plenty of time to shuffle the deck and possibly rehome some Opals! Get out there and punch each other!Last night was the Duel of Swords 2024 End of Spring All Ranks Tournament! Six hopeful contenders stepped into the rings to hack and slash at each other in a double elimination competition. The first place victory, and Barony of Cadentia, goes to Ebon Ilnaren, the only duelist to go undefeated the entire night! Julia Winters has become the newest Talon of Redwin, as well! Congratulations to them, and great job trying to everyone else who came out to fight!
Even before the prizes were awarded, a couple of challenges went out this past week! Gillette Brooke has issued a Challenge for Dockside Barony to the mysterious Herne, and they are scheduled to fight this Wednesday the 26th at 9:00 PM! We’ve also got Squire of Dragon’s Gate, Nikolai Allen, throwing down a Challenge for Seaside Barony to senior Baron Droet, and we’ll see them hit the rings on Friday the 28th at 10:00 PM. With three grants being given away at the ART, we expect to see several more challenges on the way, too! Stay tuned!

Cycle rankings show how duelists perform over the course of the cycle, with the top performer earning the Ring of Klytus (provided they began the cycle below the rank of Mage). To balance percentage performance duelists are broken into 3 brackets based on number of duels fought, with top accolades achievable by only those in the upper tier. Duelists are ordered first by bracket, then by winning percentage, followed by the number of wins and lastly by low rank to high.
