AROUND THE CITY
Winterfest is Officially here! The opening ceremony kicked off earlier today with the Lighting of the Yule Tree in the Town Plaza, and snow is currently blanketing the city in a brilliant festive wonderland. There’s loads of events throughout this week celebrating the season, and there’s sure to be something for everyone so read through the schedule and see what sparks your specific interests! There’s a Children’s Craft Workshop on Tuesday Morning at the RhyDin Observatory & Botanical Garden Complex and a White Elephant Gift Exchange over at Books & Brews on Thursday evening! And certainly not to be forgotten, the Winter Ball will be this coming Friday Night December 15th! Get your finest threads and dance the night away.
There’s also a friendly little competition being sprouted with the Overlord’s Toy Drive that Regin has just announced! If you’re not a Baron, do you have a favorite Barony or even favored Baron? There’s donation bins located in each district and now’s your time to show your district spirit while at the same time helping the city’s orphanages and children’s homes.
NEWS FROM OTHER VENUES:In the Arena, this coming Saturday is their End of Fall Cycle All Ranks Tournament! Like the name says, this is open to all ranks so anyone and everyone can sign up here Things get started at 8:10 PM EST on Saturday December 16th, so be sure to come out ready to get stabby! Donated prizes are still being considered, but as always, the Talon of Redwin and Grants are up for grabs! This could be your chance to win it all and challenge the Overlord for the top title in the Arena!
In the Outback, last night the challenge for ShadoWeaver was held! Stitch had challenged Opal Holder Kruger for the dark and smoky rock and Kruger even brought a big box of Barbies to the event! In two straight matches Stitch won the Opal once again, so a congratulations are in order! Congratulations Stitch and well reigned Kruger! Another opal could change hands again soon, as Matt Simon has challenged Jaycy for MoonBeryl! The details for this one will still need to be hashed out as the challenge was issued just last night but keep your eyes on the cork for more!
