Apple was in fine form last night when she took to the ring to meet Jewell in the Empress Overlady's first opal attempt. Apple only needed a total of 15 rounds spread over 2 bouts to secure the win, landing five legsweeps altogether en route to the defense. Not the first emerald to find out the hard way that Opal fights up the difficulty level a few notches, and with Andrea a 2 time Diamond and 7 time Opal the experience gap was vast. Still though, I'd look for Jewell to be back before too long, taking the lessons learned here and putting them towards another attempt down the road. Meanwhile, Apple keeps the rock and with last nights brutal display, reminds us all she's one of the best in the Outback.
Part two of Apple vs Jewell goes down tonight in the Arena. Fighting starts at 9. Something tells me this one could get interesting as arena politics are sure to play a role. Get there early for good seats!
MoonBeryl is vacant. Thanks to Claire setting the rock aside to claim the Diamond. No word yet on how we'll be placing it back in circulation, but discussions are in progress. Stay tuned.
