" Dear Losers,
We saw this magic stick locked in your offices and thought it was a shame for it to be hidden away.. Now it's ours! Ha ha ha! Want it back? Boo-hoo, no can do! You need to earn it! No one honors the Headless Horseman anymore and we're getting SICK AND TIRED of it! If you want your precious staff back then you better put on a show for his truly! And make it a good one!

Littered all around the dueling zone are tickets for the Ride of the Horseman!
These Duskside delinquents put together a game to honor the Headless Horseman and it might be best to go along with it! It seems pretty simple.. Duel twice in Duel of Magic to honor the Horseman and win a Halloween Badge (Profile Icon), four times and a special gift will be left for you at the Twilight Isle dueling zone, and duel eight or more times and your name will be put into the Horseman's Honored Competition!
The Horseman's Honored Competition's winner will be based off of the win/loss percentage of the Horseman's Honored and the best rated participant will receive the stolen Staff of Seasons. There's no need to worry if you're already a Keeper of one of the elements! You can claim the Staff of Seasons as well.. and the Tower of Seasons with it!
The winner of the Staff of Seasons and the earned right to venture within the Tower of Seasons will be announced Sunday, October 30th before the official standings are updated!

But.. what IS the Staff of Seasons?
The twilight fairies discovered the strange staff within a dormant tower deep in the forest of the Isle. When they brought it to the attention of the Max, our Twilight Isle guardian, it at first was thought as a trick — but upon being led to the Tower they surprised to see that it was indeed the truth! Unsure when this Tower manifested, what is known is that this special Tower is linked to the seasons; which earned it the name: The Tower of Seasons
The Tower is smaller than the Elemental Towers of the Isle and seems to be half-buried, but upon entering the tower with the strange staff in hand the interior of the Tower comes to life and is ever-changing as the seasons. Chairs of crystalline ice, a bed of summer flowers, floors of fallen leaves, and the sight of spring-time wildlife.
It was discovered the Staff of Seasons is the key to this newly found Tower! Wielding the Staff of Seasons, the Keeper of the Tower of Seasons can change the area around them for a limited time; be it a reflection of spring, summer, fall, or winter! And from the mastery of seasons comes a blending of the four to create a devastating Seasons Fury!
The gateway which brought about the creation of this Tower may not be here for long! Because of this the Tower will not be challengeable! It will be up to the wielder of the Staff of Seasons if this Tower will remain reclusive to them alone, or open to others to peruse its library and the mysteries of the seasons dwelling within its tomes!

(( OOC: All DoM duels during the event period of October 2nd - 29th will count even if fought before signing up. The RoK rankings are being used to tally the "Horseman's Honored Competition", so be sure to check on it if you're interested in seeing where your placement may be during the event.
The Tower of Seasons is a Limited Title. The length of the Keeper of Seasons will last throughout the current cycle starting October 30th 2022, and will last until the end of the next. As stated above the Tower of Seasons will not be challengeable because of this limited time. As it is a Limited-Title and not a Elemental Keeper Title the Keeper Achievement cannot be requested for it; a new Achievement will be in the works related to this limited title in the future. The "Keeper of Seasons" will be listed below the Elemental Keepers on the standings.
The Tower of Seasons and the Staff of Seasons will act as an Elemental Keeper does in regulation matches and use the Elemental Fury spell, as well as in regulation/challenges against the Archmage. Elemental Fury is still 1 use per duel, even if an Elemental Keeper holds the Staff of Seasons. Archmage specific rules vs Keepers will apply also, from the Duel of Magic rules: The Archmage may only use their Elemental Fury against an Elemental Keeper within a regulation match. This reflects the same reason as to why the Archmage may only use their Elemental Fury against a Keeper within the challenge match format.
In simple terms? While holding the Staff of Seasons the Keeper of Seasons may play the game as if they were an Elemental Keeper. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions!
