Rules Question - Renegade Queues

I must admit to a bit of confusion as to why an extension was needed for the third challenge in the queue for Cadentia when the currently scheduled date of Monday, 28 Feb falls within the time allotted as per the current rules. The current rules regarding challenge queues are written as follows:

2. A Renegade Baron can receive more than one challenge at a time, this is called a “Challenge Queue”.
In the event of a Challenge Queue, the first challenge must follow the "Universal Terms of Challenge" with regard to response and dueling date.
Additional pending challenges MUST be fought at a rate no less than one per week (7 days) until the pending challenges are depleted. The week begins once the challenge is officially completed i.e. when the Official Standings are Updated.
Example: The first challenge is happening on July 21st, 2019 (Sunday). The official standings aren't updated until the following Sunday, July 28th at 6 PM ET. That night (Sunday, July 28th), along with the remainder of the week it started, is open and meant to be used for the Renegade queue challenge to take place. The final night that the challenge would need to be fought in this example is Saturday the 3rd of August (since the next day, Sunday, would be used to update the standings).

This isn't to say the second challenge can't be done back to back on the same night, or within the same week before the standings are updated to reflect the first challenge (in this example, during the period of July the 21st - 27th).

The notation written by Alasdair on the validations for Jackson and Neo's challenges further support the above rules.

Jackson and Anubis completed their challenge on 20 Feb 2022 after the standings for that day were posted. Which means that it will post on 27 Feb 2022. According to the rules as written and Alasdair's notation on the validations, that should mean 7 days from the 27th. Using the calculator that's been used to verify dates, the deadline of 7 days should be 7 Mar. 2022.

TL;DR I want to have my ducks in a row if entering a Renegade queue or am in the position, again, of having Renegade Baron character with challenge queue. So, why was an extension requested and granted when according to the rules and Alasdair's notations the date for the duel was already within the allotted time limit?

It was not an extension. There may have been some miscommunication when I was asked when the challenge could take place. I was asked if the duel could take place on the 28th and said yes, and that it could be scheduled up to March 5th. But it was never posed as asking for an extension, nor did I say it was an extension.

Since Anubis' last defense was on 2/20, it is not officially completed until 2/27. Therefore Neo and Anubis have 7 days from 2/27 at 6:00pm to complete the challenge, which sets the deadline at 3/6 by 6:00pm, which ultimately means the challenge would have to be completed no later than by end of regulation on 3/5.

Just to clarify, wouldn't that be 3/6 or have we started counting the standings day as day one for Challenge Queues? I seem to recall past confusion over that and it was one of the reasons the tools started being used.
