Re: Challenge for Cadentia
Just a couple dozen minutes after posting his response to my challenge Anubis might end finding a post it note on his back, one that read.
“I came within 500 yards.”
“I came within 500 yards.”
Re: Challenge for Cadentia
The baron might find yet another note on his back, one that read
"The fight is gonna happen this Friday at 10 PM CT with Dris calling."

Re: Challenge for Cadentia
On the note he finds on his back Anubis would find.
“So tomorrow isn’t good for me, so we will probably have to do it Sunday 9 PM CST, but Dris will still call. And I once again came in five hundred yards.”

Re: Challenge for Cadentia
Jackson, quit wasting post-it notes and making us learn about the challenge by reviewing security camera footage. Post on the cork, not on the Baron.
For everyone else: this upcoming Sunday, 10PM RST, Dris calling.

Re: Challenge for Cadentia
Neo removes the post-it note from his back and posts it on the cork with a tack, then presuming Jackson is watching somewhere, he points at it. "See? Like this!"

Re: Challenge for Cadentia
Denizens of the duels! Tonight we met in the Arena, where it was my honor and privilege to be chosen to call Chapter Two in the Cadentia Challenge Extravaganza!
Our challenger, Warlord Jackson Payne fought under the banner of seven black halos arranged in a circle on a field of red. His Second tonight was his Neophyte Airtia Shadoan. His People of Honor were Myra, Rena, and Alexis Simas, and Zylith Figoura.
Our defending Baron Anubis Karos fought under the banner of a silver Eye of Ra, threaded through by a cobra, on a field of black. Tonight he elected no Second, but his Lady of Honor was Tetra Amilia Senscion, in absentia.
The baron chose a single duel to determine the fate of the legendary Ring of the 7th.
Warlord Payne started off wary and took the first meager half point lead with a simple defense. In the following round, Anubis punched through and took the lead away from him. They tied up the score with Jackson dancing way from the Baron in the third round, but by then Anubis had taken his measure. In round four, Anubis took back a full point lead and afterward gave no quarter. In each consecutive round he scored another solid point, one after the next, until in the seventh and final round he had bested his challenger and notched himself yet another solid defense. The final score was 5 to 1 in seven rounds.
Well tried on your challenge, Jackson! Congratulations on another defense, Anubis! Keep your eyes on the cork, sports fans, and stay tuned! Chapter Three is coming soon!
