Challenge for the Tower of Air

I've been out of the title game in Duel of Magic for a while, and it's time I jumped back in. After winning little Flit, the elemental air dragon, in the All Ranks Tournament, I've decided to go for that element.

Jackson, I challenge you for the key to the Tower of Air.

Ettyn had been hired to man the bar for the challenge! Sensing a theme (or simply being told by Anya), she showed up in a white dress that, with any luck, would not be painted by any drink ingredients while she worked.



In honor of the Keeper of Air, she made Bomb Pop cocktails, which could be nonalcoholic on request! A blue raspberry margarita with an open bottle of Big Red dunked in.



And in honor of the time-traveling challenger, she made Banana Daiquiris! The elegantly dressed French bar-back helping out that night may have fueled rumors that a time traveler had invented the cocktail in Versailles centuries ago.



In addition, there were all-night specials on martinis and Big Red.

This challenge occurred as scheduled at 9 PM ((ET)) on December 29, 2021. This was Jackson's first attempt to defend his key and his tower.

The first match was strongly carried by Eregor throughout, ending in a 5.5-0.5 victory in eight rounds after maintaining the lead for the duration.

Jackson made a stand in the second match, taking the victory in another eight rounds with a 5-2 final score. Again, he maintained the lead for all but a single tie in round five.

The third match of the challenge saw the fighters closely mirrored for most. No one took a commanding lead, but Eregor managed to land a powerful hit in the final round that pushed him over Jackson's total for the victory and the key.
