Denizens of the Dueling Community!

Yadda yadda. You know how I do my thing.

It was my great honor and privilege (not to mention slight and not completely unreasonable terror) to be chosen to officiate this challenge between the Baroness Kimone Kidd and Warlord Anubis Karos.

My head's a little fuzzy tonight, so I'll keep it brief.

The Baroness chose a single combat format for this challenge, and in 14 rounds was forced to surrender the title to the Warlord.

There's a new sheriff in the Old Temple district! Watch out!

Your new Baron has elected to align Renegade. Shocker, I know.

Two additional notes listed per Lord Karos's request:

1. "The manor of the Old Temple District is to be turned over for the use of the Lady Tara, to be used in whatever way that she sees fit."

2. The current squire is fired. Get out. Format and details on a tournament to acquire a new one pending.

Provided again for your review is a scroll put together for one of the Isle's goblins. Do enjoy.

Code: Select all

Old Temple Challenge, Round 1: "Anubis is ready and waiting with a very finely presented defensive brace, but Kimone's coming in low under that and striking the Warlord for first blood in the first round of the only match." ( LC / SH ) 1 - 0 Kimone

Old Temple Challenge, Round 2: "Mister Scary Warlord takes a mighty big swing that looks like he's planning to take Kimone's head off, but the Baroness gets under that too and advances the score in her favor." ( FDU / HC ) 2 - 0 Kimone

Old Temple Challenge, Round 3: "Now, now. Ye both signed on fer a bit o' sport with the weapons. This isn't a dance-off! Though I must say ye've both got some pretty slick moves. We aren't seeing any changes in the score, however." ( FSS / FSS ) 2 - 0 Kimone

Old Temple Challenge, Round 4: "Anybody else feelin' a breeze up in here? Our competitors are getting awfully defensive against one another. Neither one nor the other's finding an opening to make good on a point, and so there remains no score change." ( FCP / FCP ) 2 - 0 Kimone

Old Temple Challenge, Round 5: "Being quicker on the draw this round lands Lord Karos on the board! There's a change-up in the score, but Kimone maintains the lead." ( HC / TH ) 2 - 1 Kimone

Old Temple Challenge, Round 6: "Anubis quick steps his way to try to find a superior position, but Kimone comes barrelling in to intercept his feet before he can get away and gain an advantage over her. This lands her a point and extends her lead." ( LC / FSS ) 3 - 1 Kimone

Old Temple Challenge, Round 7: "Skip to my Lou, Kimone dear. Let yerself free. Anubis is bracing for an impact that she's having trouble finding a place to plant at the moment, though. No score change this round." ( FSS / SH ) 3 - 1 Kimone

Old Temple Challenge, Round 8: "Gotta say. These two are really getting their money's worth on the work-out. Wait. They didn't pay for this shindig. Right. Well. In any case, there's a whole lot more nothin' goin' on and the score stays the same." ( SH / FCP ) 3 - 1 Kimone

Old Temple Challenge, Round 9: "Finally! Some action! Kimone really likes to bust up the legs, but Anubis is onto her and again quicker to the punch. The Warlord earns a point and changes the score, but the Baroness keeps the lead." ( LC / TH ) 3 - 2 Kimone

Old Temple Challenge, Round 10: "Down the Baroness goes... right into a whole new world of hurt, I'm sure. Lord Karos scores again and brings this match to a tie game in the tenth round." ( FDU / LC ) 3 - 3

Old Temple Challenge, Round 11: "Uh oh. Those quick assaults are working out favorably for the Warlord. Not so much the Baroness. Anubis strikes hard and true and takes away the lead Kimone held onto so strongly in the first several rounds." ( HC / TH ) 4 - 3 Anubis

Old Temple Challenge, Round 12: "This one's so close to ending, but Anubis can't quite eek out the full point to take the whole match just yet. Kimone's still hangin' on by a slim margin here." ( LC / CP ) 4.5 - 3.0 Anubis

Old Temple Challenge, Round 13: "Anubis moves right into the high swing that Kimone has coming at him. That could hurt. This brings the score back in very close, but the Warlord keeps that marginal lead." ( HC / SS ) 4.5 - 4.0 Anubis

Old Temple Challenge, Round 14: "Kimone looks like she could use a breather, but you know what they say about payback being an impolite term that you won't hear me saying? Well. There's that. And there's also Anubis striking true to take this match and the barony." ( CP / HC ) 5.5 - 4.0 Anubis

Keeping in mind, of course, that the Manors belong to the Arena, and not the Baron who currently holds the title. It goes without saying that there are certain restrictions on what the manor may or may not be used for.

Like scientific experimentation on people. Animals? Okay. People, not so much. We need people to do things. Also, please no destruction of Arena property without a written request submitted in triplicate.

I only feel the need to bring this up because I know Tara, and I know she is not exactly familiar with how things are reasonably done in the Arena and I know she's really damn unstable.

Just saying.

Dear G,

I take issue with you calling my best friend unstable even though she told me the other night that she liked me better before I died (harsh).

Please take note: We prefer to use the term creative.

Creatively unstable, then?

G-Man,

I would like it put in the official record of the Spheres of Bore that I have never killed an animal.

I like animals.

It's the meat puppets that I cannot stand. BUT! I shall endeavor to welcome one and all to my little slice of heaven, the church I was given by my beloved Anpu, which I am in the process of renaming.

You're gonna LOVE what I do with the place! Just you wait and see!

(Services start next Sunday so don't be late!)

And, thank you to my bestest friend in the whole wide multiverse, Jewelsie, for sticking up for me, even if sometimes she resembles one of the puppets living in alleys and doesn't always brush her hair. Which scares me in ways I cannot articulate at the moment. In fact, just writing about them is giving me heart palpitations so I better stop.

I love her anyway.

Kind regards,

The Lady Tara
