Challenge for the Tower of Air

Post by With Wicked Intent »

Morgan,

It’s been a while since I’ve challenged for a Tower, and by my clock, your 30 days has passed. I haven’t had the Tower of Air yet, so I think it’s time I make the effort.

In other words, this is my notice of challenge for your Tower.

Sincerely,

Jacen Balthazar

Jacen,

Well I accept although I have to wait for it to be validated to proceed with any other formalities. I will be in touch.

The grace period expires on the 31st day, so technically Morgan has about 17 hours of grace period left. If Morgan wishes to waive his last day of grace, then this challenge will be valid and may proceed.

At least Vanion got it right the second time. That's gotta count for something, right? C+ for effort Jacen, I'll be conducting counting lessons on the Isle every Tuesday night.

Challenge is good to go in case it needs to be officially official from an official.

Morgan,

It's nice to see you're not like some people I've seen on here (read: pansies) and didn't insist on waiting until the 17 hours were up before taking the challenge. We'll get together some night in the coming week and hash things out.

Mad props to you.

The rest of you, feel free to kiss my ultra-fine pale white behind.

Except Lem. Lem rocks, even if he is old enough that the dirt thinks of him as an elder.

Jacen, you mean kind of like how I waived when I was challenged before my grace was up for the Tower of Water? While you've got a nice enough ass, I'd say me not being a pansy means I'm exempt from having to get anywhere near said paleness. Thanks for the offer though!

Jacen,

Any night this coming week from around the 9-10 RST (EST) would work best for me. As for a caller I have no preference and I will leave that up to you.

This was a fun one. Jacen and Morgan let me watch as they slung some pretty spells. There were lots of lights and some explosions and other stuff. But ultimately, there was a fight to fight and a challenge to answer. Here's the break down.
Anemoi 1-1! Jacen claims the first point on his way to another Keepership, scaring the daylights out of Morgan before the Keeper can bolt him. (MB/FT) 0-1 Jacen!
Anemoi 1-2! It doesn't matter how sharp and pretty Jacen's blades are, they're nothing compared to the Keeper's fury. (EF/FWB) 1 All!
Anemoi 1-3! That's a rather ghostly ring but neither side is scoring this time around. (M: FGF/J: GF) 1 All!
Anemoi 1-4! Oh that was just uncalled for Jacen. Just keep it in the ring, nobody wants to smell that. (MS/FFF) 1-2 Jacen!
Anemoi 1-5! All tied up again when Morgan armors up to avoid Jacen's bolt. (FAR/MB) 2 All!
Anemoi 1-6! Jacen comes right back to reclaim his lead, whipping Morgan's mind before the Keeper can cut him up. (WB/MW) 2-3 Jacen!
Anemoi 1-7! Bolt beats blades, but not enough to tie Morgan with Jacen. (MB/WB) 2.5-3 Jacen!
Anemoi 1-8! Dented shield means Jacen's at match point! (SH/MS) 2.5-4 Jacen!
Anemoi 1-9! Morgan's not out yet! Zapping Jacen before he can disappear! (MB/FGF) 3.5-4 Jacen!
Anemoi 1-10! The Keeper has his first lead of the match, and at a rather crucial time as he sends Jacen's attack back at him! (RF/MW) 4.5-4 Morgan!
Anemoi 1-11! Jacen takes the lead right back, flinging blades before Morgan can scare him! (FT/WB) 4.5-5 Jacen!
Anemoi 1-12! Morgan's comeback was short lived as the first match goes to Jacen when his shielding blocks out Morgan's fog. (FF/SH)

((Match One Final: With Wicked Intent .def. MC, 5.5-4.5 in 12))

Anemoi 2-1! ...whoa. (EF/NR) 1 All!
Anemoi 2-2! Sliced and diced, Morgan cuts right through that shield! (WB/SH) 2-1 Morgan!
Anemoi 2-3! Morgan's on a tear...Jacen's meteors had no chance. (FFT/FMS) 3.5-1 Morgan!
Anemoi 2-4! Morgan must have learned his lesson the first time around, he's nowhere to be found for that nasty fog. (GF/FF) 4-1 Morgan!
Anemoi 2-5! Morgan doesn't close it out quite yet! Jacen brings down the rain and it easily overpowers Morgan's defenses! (FAR/FMS) 4-2.5 Morgan!
Anemoi 2-6! Jacen's not out yet! Cutting down most of Morgan's lead in two rounds, this time scaring the crap out of him before the Keeper can shock him! (MB/FT) 4-3.5 Morgan!
Anemoi 2-7! Morgan's out of the way of Jacen's rather powerful attack, saving himself for another round! (GF/FWB) 4.5-3.5 Morgan!
Anemoi 2-8! We're in SUDDEN DEATH! **lights and explosions and all sorts of pretty things** Jacen freezes Morgan in his tracks! (DP/AB) 4.5 All!
Anemoi 2-9! Jacen takes his first proper lead of the match, bolting down Morgan's blades, but it's not quite enough to give him the win! (WB/MB) 4.5-5 Jacen!
Anemoi 2-10! At this point, I feel like I should start singing 'This is the duel that never ends...' because they're trading and no one is gaining ground! (MB/NR) 5.5-6 Jacen!
Anemoi 2-11! We went from trading to...um...nada! Moving on! (RF/DP) 5.5-6 Jacen!
Anemoi 2-12! It's been neck and neck for a four rounds...will the fifth be enough? It's enough for Morgan to take the lead back! (MW/AR) 6.5-6 Morgan!
Anemoi 2-13! This one...IS OVER! Morgan Chae takes the second match with a well timed fog. And we move on to the third and final match of the night! (FF/MB)

((Match Two Final: MC .def. With Wicked Intent, 7-6 in 13))

Anemoi Final 1! Jacen poofs his way to the first score, even if it is half a point! (MS/DP) 0-.5 Jacen!
Anemoi Final 2! Morgan comes back with a bang, bolting Jacen before he can get his whip goin'. (FMB/MW) 1.5-.5 Morgan!
Anemoi Final 3! Jacen ties it up, getting the heck out of the way of Morgan's flurry of blades. (FWB/FDP) 1.5 All!
Anemoi Final 4! Morgan catches Jacen before he can run away, reclaiming his lead! (MB/GF) 2.5-1.5 Morgan!
Anemoi Final 5! Morgan's armor is impenetrable, even by a blast that big. (AR/NR) 3-1.5 Morgan!
Anemoi Final 6! Morgan is one point away from defending his tower as he sends that rather intense attack back at Jacen! (RF/FMW) 4-1.5 Morgan!
Anemoi Final 7! Morgan, you can't make it rain on a ghost... (MS/GF) 4-2 Morgan!
Anemoi Final 8! Jacen armors up and avoids Morgan's elemental awesomeness. (EF/AR) 4-2.5 Morgan!
Anemoi Final 9! Three matches. Thirty-four rounds. After a rough start and a loss in the first match, the defending Keeper has come back to win, retaining his right to the Tower of Air with some fast blades that hit their mark before Jacen can close the gap with his touch! (WB/FFT)

((Match Three Final: MC .def. With Wicked Intent, 5-2.5 in 9))

So when it was all said and done, Morgan Chae remains the Keeper of Air. Well won, Morgan and well tried, Jacen.
