He sat at his desk for a long time, his gaze looking out from the windows at the top of the library to the city that sprawled below. Rhydin.. a city he had been in since it's near beginning. A city which he had helped to develop (in his own way) and home to many of his friends, and families which he cared for.

Rhydin, the city that had allowed him to dance in the rings and challenge his merits in a controlled, level format... a dance that he found himself missing. A dance.. that he now was retiring from.

He turned and pulled out a few sheets of velum. Tonight would be a long night indeed.

G'nort, Norah, Cor...
It has been over twenty years that I have danced in these rings, near half of which I spent trying to gain rank and keep it. Now I have held the ring which I sought so many years ago, and have claimed one which I have taken as my own. I have held the Crown and have defended these titles.
Now, it's time that I bow out and leave the young and new blood to dance the dance and achieve their goals.

While I know that you will be stepping down soon, G’nort, I do hope that you will find the time, and drive again to duel. I will say that I miss the old days, of when we competed and went against some of the best I feel this sport may see. There is too, the hope, that you will continue to duel and face these new bloods who may even challenge that thought.

Norah, I know that you will be in good hands with G’nort while he transitions you to take his role, but don't let him get too grabby. And, if you find yourself ever in need of some assistance or advise, I will still be around.

So, with this, I leave you with your potential first official duty, Norah. You will find the ring and key to the Old Temple manor on your desk. Please see to it that it finds a worthy holder.
