Since I believe it disrespectful to my district to retire my ring and go after Xeric myself, I am asking someone in the community to do it for me.

He brags of holding the 4th ring. He did hold it for all of two months but he failed to respond to a challenge and was stripped. He brags of holding the 6th ring. He did hold it for all of three months but he failed to respond to a challenge and was stripped. He brags of holding the 8th ring. He did. Within two months of holding that ring, he'd already challenged for Overlord. He was defeated in the test and the tester immediately issued challenge. Xeric left inexplicably in the middle of that challenge. His second had to duel in his stead and lost. He brags of holding the 12th. He did for two weeks. This is the only ring he managed to be there for a defense of but it did him no good. He lost.

This is the man that you people defend so passionately. He has been stripped of two of his four former titles, left in the middle of a challenge for the third, and uses the title merely as a spring board to attempt to become Overlord.

Sartan, you've already had to defend a ring that he has been stripped of once. This is a man who people say threw a match to protect your friend's title. That's totally disrespectful of the Overlord. Come out of retirement and end his reign. Cas, he disrespected you by leaving in the middle of a match. You've ended two of his past reigns, make it a third and I will even cheer for you. Harris, you complain about worthless barons all the time. If this is not one of the most worthless in the history of the sport then I don't know who is. Kheld, the challenge will be a chance to see Caed all dressed up again. One of you has to step up to the plate.

I will offer 5,000 silver nobles should a challenger be successful. Should Xeric try to hide by switching to loyal and the Overlord intercedes, I will switch to renegade on the spot and offer my bat to the challenger.

The disrepect shown by the Baron isn't something I'm going to be turning a blind eye to. I wonder if he ever intended to be loyal as he suspected that I might test Damien judging by the message he left on these walls in days past.

A question, Baron Xeric: Did you disagree with my chosen Champion? Or my judgement in testing the Baron? I sought to add flavor to the challenge by involving those that the challenge was being fought for, namely the former Overlord Cletus who was the whole reason Baron Damien was bringing challenge. To me, though it was within your right to interecede, it was Baron Damien's choice to select a Champion and he selected the one who I suspected he'd select from day one.

So know that whatever hard times befall you in the coming weeks that you have brought this situation on yourself by showing a lack of honor or at least a warped sense of it.

Now, back to everyone at large. Please know and understand what I'm about to say:

Baron Xeric will NEVER be a loyal under my reign.

If no one issues challenge to him before the next cycle begins I only hope that he would issue challenge for the Overlordship again so that I may use a very skilled pain-inducing Warlord to not only slap down any who would Champion him, but deny him the opportunity to take the crown and then take his ring.

I respectfully withdraw me criticism o' ye... ye clearly are encouragin' some'un tae Challenge Xeric.

I'll continue tae consider me options... it seems likely, now, should nae other step forward soon.
