Trillian let out a mild oath as she scanned the messages they'd picked up when they passed the last relay station. She dumped the offending message over to the copilots terminal in front of Brig, then reached over to tap the screen and call his attention to it. "Vacation's over, flyboy. I assume you want to go back and deal with that."

Brig pulled his eyes away from the startscape that he never grew weary of watching to glance down at the screen. A somewhat more colorful exclamation issued from his lips as he read it, causing Trillian to chuckle. Her fingers were already flying across the keys of her console, plotting a fast course back to the RhyDin starport as Brig groaned "He just doesn't learn, does he? I wish he'd crawl back under whatever rock he calls home and leave the rest of us alone." He shook his head and began composing a response, eyes rising to look longing out at the now rotating starfield as the ship began to turn into it's new course.

Vanion and I will be settling his obsession Thursday night at 9pm by the eastern reconing. Azjah has aggreed to officiate.

Tonight Vanion came once more to seek the Key to the Tower of Air, but Brigath was not about to let that happen. He cut his vacation short, and Trilian brought him home to face Vanion.

The duels were two in number, and proceeded as follows:

Brigath ff / mb / mw / sh / mw / wb / im / ab / mw / ff / rf / dp / ff/ ref 7

Vanion ff / ref / ms / mb / im / ar / mw / dp / wb / gf / ref / dp / gf / mw 6

The second match was held immediately,

Brigath mb / ff / ab / ms / ref / ef / ff / im / ms / dp 5

Vanion sh / mw / gf / im / wb / ft / ff / rf / mb / sh 2.5

Many congratulations to Brigath for his successful defense.

Vanion dueled well, but was not destined to win this night.
