First we brought you The (Original) Gloaming District.
A year later, we introduced the Flats at Gloaming Heights.
And now, we add to the Gloaming District collection with the newest district: The Gloaming at the Canopy, a new housing development located in the northwestern forest of Twilight Isle. For those looking to rent homes, the Gloaming at the Canopy will be added to the Twilight Isle map in the future and a node designating your plot of land will be placed to mark your occupancy! The second district of the Gloaming will consist of twelve homes of varying sizes, including three large, four medium, and five small treehouses spread over three separate “branches” (not literal branches), comparable in size and function to the first district of the Gloaming.
All rental payments will go toward future maintenance, benefits, and general Twilight Isle events. Consider it a donation to the Isle with a nice house as a perk.
( Map not to Scale. Photos below correspond with numbers on the map. )
Sakura Stand
The northernmost branch of the Canopy is home to four treehouses; one large, one medium, and two smalls. Set on the cliff above the rest of the Canopy trees and homes, it is bisected by a river that leads to a rushing waterfall. Formed from a grove of trees planted from Sakura Garden saplings, the branch offers the highest views of the forest district. On either side of the river, stone steps have been cut into the cliff to allow free passage to the Canopy branches below. At the edge of the dense foliage on the east side of the branch clearing, a large purple and blue Tree of Good Favor welcomes visitors to come speak their wish into fruition. Trade just a sprinkle of water upon the roots to cast your wish into the aether.

Willow Way
Willow Way is the middle branch of the Canopy and is known for its swaying willows and refreshing swimming hole at the base of the river’s waterfall, accessible via the east or west banks, or from a rope swing in the southeast corner of the watering hole. Abundant fish traverse the pool and river, making for excellent fishing. A cadre of river nymphs have staked claim on a floating wooden gazebo constructed in the middle of the swimming hole and it is there that they offer brave swimmers and paddleboaters light refreshments like mana juice, berryade, and lily scones. To the west of the branch, near a trolley station and cafe servicing the district, a community garden can be cultivated by any who wish to help and offers residents home grown fruits, vegetables, and herbs.

Halflight Hollow
Halflight Hollow is the southernmost branch of the Canopy and features violet trees, flocks of friendly talking corvids that trade fortune cookie like prophecies for shiny trinkets, and a gnomish woman who frequents the path and gives passersby quests to find treasures she has buried in the woods. Not often worth much more than a few pence, sometimes they’re quite valuable, though it’s a gamble as to what you will find. Further into the purple forest, one can find a copper and stone shrine, where tributes are often met with unpredictable results, thanks to the Wild Magic it is dedicated to.

How to Rent
***Please Note: Players who do not yet have an Original Gloaming Property will be given priority for the Canopy for the first 48 hours. After 48 hours, if there are any plots remaining, players who have an existing OG property may submit interest for other characters. No character may rent more than one Gloaming property (*with the exception of The Flats at Gloaming Heights). A post will be made if/when remaining plots are made available to players that have OG property on other characters.
-Reply to this thread with your intention to rent a property.
-Donate the forum Silver Noble amount to Strawberry. Payment only has to be made once, even if you renew next year (renewals do not require forum silver). Silver will go toward funding prizes and such for future events.
-Be sure to include what the donation is for (i.e. "Gloaming", "House rent", "#4 Sakura", etc)
-Property will be held for 24 Hours after a reply is made. If there is no Silver Noble donation given during that time period the house will return back on the market.
-Post at least once during the subsequent year after renting. This can be anywhere (it doesn't have to be on the Twilight Isle board) and about anything (OOC posts count too!). If you go a year without activity, the property will be released and made available to rent again.
