Because I saw this as such a good idea, I thought I’d go on ahead and start one for the Tower of Air that I previously held last month. John did not make as startling an impact on Twilight Isle as Bob may have, but there could be a few things of note if anyone wishes to play off of them.
- The Tower of Air now holds a well-stocked bar (provided Matt hasn’t drank his way through it yet) and many of the Air Elementals have developed bartending skills, possibly budding mixologists. The library also now holds several cocktail recipe books. Hopefully the elementals are not turning into alcoholics.
- The Air Elementals are overwhelmingly apprehensive about John now, falling somewhere between extremely cautious or straight up frightened of him and will run in the opposite direction.
- Something* happened in the utmost central room of the Tower. There is a layer of residual magic that may never completely fade.
*This specific something will be explained in a series of pending posts, but I am a horrible and lazy person who has yet to complete writing them. However, it is unlikely that whatever happened will become general common knowledge.
I encourage other former and current Keepers of this Tower (and the others) to add any additional information for future record keeping and idea building!

Tower of Air: Keeper Michelle
Apperance:
The Tower of Air 'stands' above the peak of the tallest mountain in the eastern range of Twilight Isle. Upon Michelle taking possession of The Key, the sky surrounding the Tower has taken a darker tone. Dark clouds and a dusty, desert wind form a protective barrier. Threads of the Shadowfell are woven through and around the tower. To reach the Tower you must first ascend the mountain, then request an Air Elemental to take you to the entrance. The doors themselves are made of living shadow-mist. Only The Keeper and authorized guests may pass through, for anyone else the doors become thick and transport you back to the base of the mountain.

NPC's: The only named NPC I created was an Air Genasi Kad-dim-sul.

Re: Tower of Air Features for Future Keepers
After Karma's reign, the Tower has returned to its hazy, near invisible form after a long stint within a seemingly endless storm. The residual layer of magic in the center room has been cleansed (perhaps not fully, but enough that the elementals seem fine going there again).
Karma left a framed picture of a smiling woman on an out of the way side table in that room with a perpetually lit candle that never seems to dwindle. A letter was left for the next keeper (Jaycy) explaining the transformation of the tower and the goal (cleansing the negative energy) of what she did prior to handing the tower over. It also politely requests that future keepers keep the picture and candle in the tower to honor the loss of life there.
Main NPC named was a cloud sylph named Yewel (full name: Aeamaef Yewel din-Ehshultis), whose description can be found in the above linked thread!

Jaycy immediately added to the shrine, debuting the change at her welcome party after taking the keepership; the feathers are meant to be a permanent addition.Strawberry wrote: ↑Tue Mar 09, 2021 10:08 pm Karma left a framed picture of a smiling woman on an out of the way side table in that room with a perpetually lit candle that never seems to dwindle. In the central room lies another feature: an out-of-the-way shrine. A small photo and perpetually lit candle memorialize the loss of life within. They stand foreground to the ever-twirling vortex where forty (40) feathers float and dip and spin in honor of every individual Air Keeper reign.

During Rachael's reign as custodian of the Air Tower, it was discovered that there were nine bathrooms in the Tower. This suited the Tower Kitten, Empress Marshmallow, as each bathroom housed a litterbox for Mallow's personal use. In successive reigns, as many as five or six bathrooms total have been discovered. This has led to rumors that the Tower Kitten herself created the other three bathrooms in order to have even more of a choice of facilities during her Human's reign.

Re: Tower of Air Features for Future Keepers
Since Eregor began his second reign as Keeper of Air, the Tower has reshaped itself. Clouds swirl and rise above the mountain peak, held in place by a gentle vortex of wind. Stepping through the gate at the Tower's base, visitors find themselves in a vast hall that rises up within the circling clouds, evoking a sense of calm and peace like the eye of a hurricane. In the center, a spire of translucent, almost transparent crystal rises, a staircase winding around it and allowing access to the Tower heights.
Landings interrupt the central stairs at several points, extending out to platforms of the same crystalline substance. Some are shrouded for privacy, but most are open and, appropriately, airy, providing space for relaxation, study, or entertainment. One of them, staying close to the central spire, contains the shrine established by prior Keepers, which Eregor has carefully and respectfully maintained. Others extend beyond the Tower's cloud walls to provide a panoramic view of the Isle all around, or serve as nests, aeries for raptors that soar the winds.
At its top, the crystal spire spreads out and the stairs pass through it onto a wide, flat surface, open to the sky above. This platform is empty save for a funnel cloud at its center, the size of a man and yet straining to burst forth and sweep across the lands, the essence of Air.
