Na-rae enjoyed rowing about on the small boat the Takamine's had at their private cabin up in the mountains, but for now she was fine with keeping on the sidelines and watching the parade. She could be seen feeding her Izumi grapes off and on while commenting on the different boats as they sailed past, "Oh, a goose!" she even said.
"I think it's a swan..." Izumi said, but regarding the deadpanned look that Na-rae gave her for the remark with some alarm. After all, Na-rae was feeding her grapes and Izumi was particularly fond of grapes. Her eyes lit up with a smile as she watched the boats sailing by. "The breeze is nice here, at the river isn't it?" she asked pleasantly.
Na-rae let out a soft
hmph! — but of course it was all in jest. A smile returned to her lips and she said, "Mhm. It's really nice.. Reminds me when we'd go out on dates to the beach before we got married." she then made sure to add on. "Remember the parking lot at the bowling alley? Where you got tongue tied and couldn't even ask me if we could be exclusive, so I had to be the one to say it." she said with a smug little grin.
Izumi's own grin answered Na-rae's as she listened, and she looked thoughtful at the memory of their early dates. When Na-rae teased her about how she'd gotten flustered at the bowling alley Izumi stuck out her tongue but her eyes glittered with fun. "I hope you'll never let me forget it" she admitted, giggling at the smug look Na-rae had.
Another grape is plucked and offered to her wife. "I never will." said Na-rae triumphantly.
