A hastily scrawled note is stuck with a dagger to the cork just below the Overlord challenge notes.
Baron Di'Luna,
Since the Overlord has waived grace preventing my challenge to them I challenge you as their Loyal Baron. My intention is to declare myself Renegade and press challenge to the Overlord in that manner. You are a means to an end and as you have not attained the rank of Warlord I feel no qualms in selecting you as that means.
The note is signed EF.

Sorry, who are you again? And why do you have such a hard on for me? I'm flattered, but I'm married.
XOXO

Well, I looked my demons in the eyes
laid bare my chest, said "Do your best, destroy me.
You see, I've been to hell and back so many times,
I must admit you kind of bore me."

Re: Old Temple Challenge
Somewhere a few blocks away from the Hangman distillery in a darkened alley a man lies face down half in a pool of water. Whether he is unconscious or dead it is uncertain from glancing at a distance. He appears to have little of value with him, perhaps a robbery gone bad, or a contract killing.
OOC Note: I leave it for those that are interested in playing off this story hook to free-form as you see fit. You can decide if you recognize the man as Errol or not, you can determine if you find the body or if another finds it. Errol is not dead but in a coma, once again. However, anything of value has been removed by opportunistic people who came before you did. Also, in this situation, I give full permission for any player who wishes to respond to this as you would like - take Errol to the hospital or kill him - whoever is first gets to start the chain of events and then everyone else can play off the previous interactions - other than general forum and community guidelines there are no restrictions in this shared result. Have fun!
For DoS staff and for the Baron, you can treat this challenge as rescinded but feel free to role play that out as you see fit since technically the challenge has not been answered yet and it would only be discovered when Errol doesn't respond to the response that its rescinded - so to speak.

Re: Old Temple Challenge
"I've got most of the weird crap Mom pulled out of the Murder Mansion in the panel van, I'll have it out tonight," Jackie noted as she strolled along with Salvador. He grunted, pleased.
They were an odd sight, to be sure. He, a tall and surly beast of a man, who prowled the street not only as if he owned it, but was displeased with it. She, a perky little Wednesday of a girl, with a bounce and a wiggle to her step, with hot green eyes that passed for bright.
As they passed the Hangman Distillery, they both could scent it, taste it, savor it: Blood, death, and the eternal chode that went with it. Acrid and nasty, like the innards of a deer dragged over a predators paw.
"Murder?" Jackie mulled. Salvador chortled in his throat, still tasting the airs.
"Probably. If it were a mugging, some asshole hero would've swooped into save them before it went wrong."
"Very fine point taken," Jackie agreed. She let Salvador take point, he was the elder, the more experienced, and also, had longer legs than she.
"OooOOoohh," Jackie crooned as they happened upon the prone man, "Dibs on his eyeballs."
"Like Hell, I got here first," Salvador insisted with a wild grin. The heart and the eyeballs, along with the right haunch, those were his historic rights, anyhow. Jackie would have to settle for the lesser bounty.
"Fine. Brain."
"All yours," Salvador assured her graciously. He didn't ask why she wanted it, anymore than she asked why he wanted the eyeballs.
"You haul. I'll clean up. I swear, the murderers and assassins around here are such slobs!" Jackie decided with a look around. He grunted agreement.
Salvador absently checked for a pulse, but it really didn't matter to him if there was one or not. When he was done with it, there wouldn't be one. He hoisted the body to his shoulder to carry it off. Jackie opened her backpack and got to work clearing up the evidence.
((Ut oh! Probably best if something disturbs these two gallows birds off their find. But at least it'll all be nice and clean!

Re: Old Temple Challenge
A note was posted to the cork, with little ceremony. Copies were sent to the Overlady and the Watch as well, along with missives regarding the Baron having been unexpectedly away from the offices and venues for a few days for the prior.
To whom it may concern,
The Barony of Old Temple has agreed to the challenge set forth by Mr. Faline, but messengers have been unable to locate the challenger in question. In accordance with the Baron's wishes, the Overlady and Watch have both been informed with a copy of this selfsame letter of the nature of what has transpired.
The Baron wishes the best for Mr. Faline, and hopes he is able to return from wherever it is he may have gone swiftly and in good health.
Warm regards,
