Early in the evening of March 3rd, Koyan arrived at the RDI with a gift (of sorts). It was a high-end karaoke machine replete with a standard drive, two mics (for duets) and a stand with a flatscreen attached. He'd also brought along two tall speakers with excellent audio quality. He set the items against a far wall on a small, unused table.
The entire apparatus wasn't powered by electricity but magic instead. All one had to do to activate the machine was to pick up a mic or tap the On/Off switch on the drive itself. The machine was magically designed to turn off after fifteen consecutive minutes of no use.
With a little help (okay, a lot of help), Koyan had instructed his assistant to load as many songs as possible onto the digital drive. Thousands upon thousands of songs sat waiting, everything from Dean Martin to Kiss. Entire albums were present, as well as Top Twenty selections from all eras. The flatscreen was easy to manipulate, from drop-down menus to a search function. As with all karaoke machines, the flatscreen presented the lyrics to a would-be crooner.
After advice from friends, Koyan had the machine magically protected against theft; none of the pieces could be taken out of the RDI. There was also a light spell of protection from damage, but any serious infraction (fire, explosion, etc) would end it.
(Feel free to have your characters use the karaoke machine. It's there for extra added fun!)
