April 2019 Archmage Tournament
The April 2019 Archmage Tournament will be held on Sunday, April 14th at 9:00pm Eastern! The format will most likely be double elimination (depending on entrants), and late entrants have no more than 5 minutes to arrive. Seeding will begin at 9:05pm, and casting will begin at 9:10pm.
Seeding will be based on the most recent RoK rankings. Early registration will cut off on Friday, April 12th at 8:55pm ET. Any late registrants or walk-ins will automatically be ranked below early registrants. Registrants tied with the same ranking will be seeded by WoL.
Please post your registrations as replies to this thread. Good luck everyone!
Additional prizes are posted below!

Re: April 2019 Archmage Tournament
Prizes!
We're switching it up this go around and adding to the Prize List. While the winner of the tournament still gets the right to challenge the Archmage, other participants will not be going away empty handed.
Every participant in the Archmage Tournament will have their choice of a miniature Sun or miniature Moon (gravitational pull not included). The little orb hovers at shoulder height and follows its owner until sent away with a phrase of your choosing. If left to mingle together, the pair makes ambient twilight.
&

While each duelist gets their pick of one or the other, the winner of the tournament will take home both. Keep them for yourself, or share with a friend, the choice is yours!
Second place will also take home an additional prize in the form of a newly minted Keeper's Blessing.
Keeper's Blessing
1. Allows the wielder of this grant the ability to use a special one time use Elemental Fury crystal within a challenge against a Keeper. This crystal will allow its wielder the use of Elemental Fury up to three times within a challenge ( should the challenge go to 3 full duels ). The power of the Elemental Fury Crystal can only be used once per match.
- or -
2. Allows the wielder to submit the Blessing to the Duel of Magic staff to be redeemed for a Challenge Grant that can be awarded to any non-mage / mage emeritus duelist of their choice. This grant will allow its wielder to challenge one of the four elemental keeper titles so long as the keeper is not under a grace period. This grant must be used within 14 days.
((OOC: The mini sun and mini moon do not offer any additional dueling benefit or buff. They are just for RP purposes, so have fun with them!
The Keeper's Blessing on the other hand can be used for the above listed benefits. Should 2nd place go to a current Elemental Keeper, they can only select the second option to give the grant away, and cannot select the EF crystal since they're already a keeper.
Any questions, let me know!))

"I WANT ONE!" Angela exclaimed while she hopped and pointed at the pictures on the fliers the goblins were passing out. Andrea thought this would just be a quick stop by the dueling zone to pick up some cigarettes, but now she's having to deal with a hopping child who wanted nothing more than to have one of the mini Suns or Moons. Maybe both?

Jin Chae and I have agreed to meet on Monday, April 25 at 9:30 p.m. ET ((6:30 PT)). Details on a caller will be forthcoming.
On a more personal note, I look forward to us finally having the opportunity to face each other with a Tower at stake.

Re: April 2019 Archmage Tournament
((By virtue of taking second place, Rachael takes home the Keeper's Blessing. She has 14 days from this posting to decide if she wants to convert the Keeper's Blessing into a giftable challenge grant to a non Mage/Mage Emeritus. After those 14 days, if it has not been given out, it will lock in as the ability to use a special one time use Elemental Fury crystal within a challenge against a Keeper. If given as a grant, the recipient will have 14 days from issuance to use it. Otherwise, if kept by Rachael, the Keeper's Blessing is valid until the end of the next upcoming cycle.))Apple wrote: ↑Sun Apr 14, 2019 10:20 pm Three duelist arrived on the Isle for this cycles Archmage Tournament.
