Doesn't necessarily have to be a bar, but could be a place that has a bar or eatery in addition to other things (for instance: docking rings/stations, cargo bays/warehouses, traditional runways or VTOL pads, etc.).
That's exactly what I was thinking... a station with various facilities, any one of which could be in play for any given scene. Bar/restaurant (with a fantastic view of Rhydin from orbit, catch the sunrise!), Zero-G play area, hydroponic gardens that would make the Hanging Gardens of Babylon jealous, all sorts of stuff!

The RASG would probably have a presence there, of course. ;)

It's been a few days since we had our last suggestion, so by tomorrow morning, we're going to take a look at all of the feedback and start working on something new. With that in mind, if you were waiting on an idea, now's the time to put it out there! Thanks for all of your suggestions! <3

I love the docks idea and the boardwalk kind of area too, but I think we'd see a lot of use out of a quieter cafe type setting (though if that's incorporated into other settings, cool). Teas N Tomes saw a lot if use and something serving a similar purpose would be nice.

We actually have a new place in my town that's a cafe, crepe shop, and cocktail bar all together. There's also an old temple that has been divided into a coffee shop, bakery, and book store (all separate but in the same building).

Squeaking back in before this discussion closes out:

I noticed that no one mentioned it and I'm not sure if it's from apprehension in doing so or a genuine lack of interest, so I'm just going to ask: are people interested in seeing the RDI as a room option?

I really like the boardwalk and atrium ideas, and after looking at Senka's Navy Pier reference photos, I think the two ideas could easily be combined. In the first photo of the Pier, you can see Crystal Gardens. I think CG is strictly a botanical garden-slash-event space, but I've seen hotels and resorts incorporate atriums into their design and place their shops and cafes amidst the greenery. The Gaylord Resorts in Florida, Tennessee, and Texas come to mind.

Perhaps the areas with more restaurants and shops could be more densely populated with plant life, and the area nearer to the wall that separates the building from the boardwalk could be more open, so it doesn't obstruct that wall's purpose, but your character(s) could still enjoy the greenery, in addition to everything else.

All of the suggested settings sound very nice to me!

I want to find you, tear out all your tenderness and

Personally, and my opinion might be different from other peoples (which is okay!), I have no dog in the fight on whether or not the RDI is an active setting over here. I know there's a bit of wonkiness with the dueling venues being located at or around the RDI but not having them playable here. If it's here, and people want to use it, great! If it's not here, I can live with it.

The Solarium is here! A cafe located in a climate-controlled dome in New Haven, supplied by the year-round gardens within — the perfect spot for a hot drink and a book or quiet company, or laying out and star gazing.

We hope the Solarium is an effective combination of the most asked-for themes — we tried to build a place that has something for everyone. However, no setting is set in stone, and other changes will be coming down the line. We plan to add another live play option in the near future.

Thanks again for participating. <3
