All Ranks Tournament in Duel of Swords for the honor of being the next
Baron of Old Market

Baroness Lirssa al Amat will retire the barony on July 15. A tournament, open to all ranks in honor of her returning to commoner ranking, will be held that night at 9 (eastern) in the Arena. The victor of the single elimination tournament to hold the ring and title of Baron of Old Market.

This tourney will also include a mystery prize plus 1000 silver for second place.

Don’t think only duel swords will be going on. It’s a retirement party and it’s RhyDin. Booze and food will be there in abundance, too.

((Participants must be listed on the current Duel of Swords standings. Attendees will get RDI side icons if they have established both side SNs))

Eight duelists from Commoner to Warlord showed up to compete for the title of Baron of Old Market. This made for a nice and clean single elimination set up of 3 rounds. Kruger was on hand to assist with the calling and split the first of those rounds with me.

Round One:

Aludariel defeated Rachael, 5-3

Pulling off comeback victories in both the semi and the final, the Baby Baron returns to Old Market.

Mairead has declared herself renegade to the Overlady Myria Graziano and named Doran Ilnaren as her squire.

Congratulations to Maggie and, as well, farewell to Lirssa. It is always sad to see a title holder vacate their station, but if it is going to happen we can't ask for a better exit than this. Best of luck in whatever comes next for you.
