There was music, fireworks and The Anvil! The Baroness showed, as did the Challenger... and...
by way of successful test from the Overlord, Vael defends Seaside!
(Jewell Ravenlock .def. Lacey, 5-3.5 in 11)
In a fight that began with an early lead for The Empress, Lacey managed to snatch the lead from her in the fourth round and kept it until Jewell turned it around in the ninth. They would fight a couple more rounds before Jewell closed it out in the eleventh!
Congratulations to Vael, and Jewell. Well tried, Lacey!

Says the Loyal Baron about another Loyal Baron. Art thou still salty about your failure to best Matt in your bid to come after me, slaver? I've proven myself several times over both in regards to my own title as well as defending other vacated baronies. When's the last time you championed the same barony twice in a night?
At least I won mine from a fellow Warlord rather than someone equivalent to a Master at Arms. Should someone best you for your title, and I assure you that time is coming if you aren't stripped for inactivity or some other inane show of incompetence first, I welcome you to... as Ahni says, come at me bro.

Vaeluthil Whitevale,
Nothing you just wrote will alter the fact that you chose to request Intercession against a duelist who has offered grueling, thankless hours on the calling couch, granted a challenge by the winner of Madness, which you did not deign to enter. If besting a Master at Arms is so trivial, you should have dealt with her in the proper fashion. Why are you too good for such a challenge?
---Is it because when you first were challenged by me, you hid behind Col. Matthew Simon?
---Is it because the sole time that you defended with your own blade, it was against Hajime Aki, himself a Master at Arms?
---Is it because when you issued challenge to me, I did not even perspire in besting you?
If none of this is to your liking, you know where I am. The Warlord's Tournament could use an ornament, and I am willing to put my title on the table. Are you?

"Chose to request". You're a presumptuous twit, Karos. The Overlady offered her test without request on my part as a reward for loyalty I've offered to her for the entirety of her time as Supreme Duelist of the Arena. What have you done aside from waffle on your loyalty and make a thinly veiled allusion to challenging her?
As for you and I, our match together was nigh two years ago. What have you done in that time? Oh, right. You were stripped of one title. Lost another without ever defending it. Failed to secure two others, both with a test and without. Meanwhile I've more than doubled your longest baronial reign. In short, you're worthy of exactly none of my time.
I am nae any longer the little girl you beat two years ago. I need not waste my time on you, you'll be freed of your title before long and then I shall set the clock until you come crawling.

Vaeluthil Whitevale,
I must confess that you have confused me. My victory over you is too far in the past to be relevant, yet....my vacating due to inactivity, which occurred at the same time, isn't? Your hypocrisy is laid bare.
And why do you brag about a reign where you have defended yourself only once? The sloth and apathy of the Warlords is no achievement of yours.
Once more....we do not have to wait until one loses a title. I have been challenged, but should I win, I suggest we meet in the ring.

Still more recently than our challenge :^) I see you've got no explanation nor excuse for any of my other points. That's okay, I understand that being terrible is hard.
Let me spell it out for you again since it's clearly not getting through your thick skull:
You
Aren't
Worth
My
Time

Bye Felicia

Sylus,
Mayhaps a rogue sorceror should be hired to cast wards on the local meadows and granaries.
Some madman has pulled a cruel, grotesque trick. He has granted cattle the unnatural ability to write as man writes, but has not seen fit to bestow them with human intelligence, this exposing us all to the stark terror of seeing what vapid thoughts fill their heads as they chew the cud. As if to underline his crime against the gods, he has gifted them with a pen of annoying violet.
Such folly can only have come from a demonic mind.

To return to my earlier point: Why did you not politely decline the Overlady's generous offer and duel the Challenger yourself? I would happily avail myself of her services if I deemed it necessary, but it seems that there is no reasonable cause for it in this case. Perhaps you can enlighten me otherwise.
