GAC Members:
There will be a closed-door security meeting on Thursday, July 26th at 9 PM (ET) in the two-north conference room in Town Hall. Security protocols will be in effect, so be prepared to present identification for admission.

((OOC - Location will be the Great Helm Tavern on RoH. The meeting is closed IC to the public, but anyone not on the council who wishes to come and observe OOC is welcome to do so.))

Effective immediately, Andu Kirost has been removed as a member of the GAC. He has further been banned from entering Town Hall until investigations concerning his conduct have been concluded. If you see Mr. Kirost on the premises, alert security personnel immediately. Please update your records accordingly.

This is a letter addressed directly to the Governor's Office in RhyDin, stamped 'EYES ONLY' and with instructions to be distributed to the Governor and all members of the Government Advisory Council.

To the Governor and Councilors,

It has been my pleasure to serve this city with all of you over the course of the past year. Today I address my fellow Councilors as a representative of the Barony of Saint Aldwin, a small country not far from the realm of RhyDin and home to more than thirty thousand refugees and rehabilitated slaves.

I come from another small country called New Brittany, which after a protracted civil war now sits on the brink of annihilation. We are preparing to accept the ten thousand remaining Newbretons into Saint Aldwin. Please only share this information on a need-to-know basis: a security leak could jeopardize the evacuation process.

We need your help. In order to feed and shelter these people until they can become self-sustaining we need at least

5,000 tons of food
100,000 gallons fresh water + purification supplies
10,000 blankets and cots
500 prefabricated/semi-permanent shelters, 5 m x 10 m (see Quonset hut blueprint, attached)
10,000 vaccines each for major diseases - Mumps, Measles, Rubella, Polio, Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis, H Influenza Type B, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Rotavirus, Meningococcal, Varicella, Pneumococcal, Seasonal Influenza, RhyDin Bengu Fever
Volunteers - construction, medical (arcane or non-arcane), logistics & planning

I know this is a great deal to ask for. However, we cannot provide for these people alone. I am grateful for any assistance you feel you can provide, and remain,

The following letter was couriered to all GAC Members and their designated alternates and CC'd to one Dib Jaster Aurene and to the leaders of the Stars End Port Authority on Sunday morning. It included a copy of the letter sent by Councilor Alain DeMuer on Friday, along with additional information about the situation as it developed over the weekend. Signatures were required for delivery.

Good morning, members of the Advisory Council,

By now, you have all read the missive from Councilor DeMuer about the crisis unfolding with the evacuation of New Brittany. I cannot recall another incident where the evacuation of an entire nationstate into another was ever necessary or attempted. However, you will see from the intelligence reports enclosed with this missive that the situation for the Newbretons is dire.

I have, by separate missive yesterday evening, sent confirmation to the Baron and the Council of St. Aldwin that RhyDin stands ready to assist these people to the extent of our ability to do so. The first shipment of foodstuffs and water was dispatched this morning, but there must needs be more.

Many of you represent organizations with large resources. In this crisis, I am appealing to you to do what you can to further assist these efforts. We will begin a public appeal for volunteer aid workers and smaller donations from the citizens tomorrow.

An emergency situation room has been established in the suite of offices adjacent to mine, near accounting in Town Hall. All aid efforts should be coordinated through that office. Dib Jaster Aurene, who has served as our Chief FLA Auditor for the past year, has been put in charge of managing the logistics of our efforts. Should any of you be able to assist, he will be your primary point of contact.
