Ode to Amthy

It was with a heavy heart that she said to write. Memories from years past flickering like a kaleidoscope through her thoughts as she sat nibbling on the end of her pen. Axe as he tossed a shiny coin into the air and tiny Pix as she was back then swooping and diving while cooing with laughter to capture it in her tiny hands then sitting on his shoulder.

Amthy strutting her tiny self the length of the bar with hands on her hips after drinking a thimble full of nectar that she had served her as that was her favorite drink back then. Goddess so many years and years of memories. All the memories of a lifetime it seemed like were coming back since she overheard the news last night of the death of the precious Pix.

Yet again she had chosen to hide her shock and horror in the common room. Preferring to share her grief with only Gav to see her breaking down and sobbing for hours upon hours in his arms while she told him all about the years she had known her and the wonderful memories she had of the green haired, olive skinned beauty.

A smirk directly entirely to herself fell into place as she flipped open her mortal enemy and muttered to herself, “I guess maybe I’ll make a damn fine Queen after all as good as I am getting at hiding my feelings in public.”

The cowgirl then closed her eyes and let the memories of time spent with Amthy flow through her before opening them and beginning to write...

Ode to Amthy

To hear her laughter one more time
To see the light in her eyes
Just to watch it shine

To hear her coo with delight
To be able to see her hovering there
Just to know she never had a worry or a care.

To hear her whispering with eyes alight
To see that innocence undimmed
Just to know there never was a sin

She’ll never come back again
But she’ll never leave us either

She closed the journal and stood then headed off to her deportment lesson with a grimace of anticipation. She was in no mood to be told what she should or shouldn’t be doing and how she should be doing it.

No doubt there would be words spoken and if Miss Partinger wasn’t careful there would be that brawl that the woman was constantly harping on her could not happen. But Des was planning on making sure that if she had to punch the woman like her Lawyer Lucien had told her she would drag her onto her own property first THEN hit the woman.
