As I am new to this world of Rydin, far from my home in Zaxoragon, I went for a stroll through the streets of Seaside. Already feeling akward and out of place, I am paranoid of people's thoughts of me. I walk through noticing people eyes, staring through me as if I were made of glass.
I know not what they are looking for. I am not sure if its my superb posture, Zaxoragons normally slouch, or if its the way I carry my arms. Zaxoragons normally walk with their hands dragging behind them, I however walk with them placed on my shoulders, this allows me to move along more effeciently. Yet, it could even more be my all out apperance. I know only that I am alone in this world, if it is only in apperance. I am a frog in a world of cheetas were the lion is the king.
I have noticed that I am one of the few yellow colored beings in this world. My outer layer shines with a bright yellow glow. Being that normal to me is my 3'5" height, you beings are so tall. Arms normlly would drag behind me, being that they are 4' long each. Yet, due to my need to get around more quickly in this world, and the fact that u beings like to step on my hands, I carry them flip over my shoulders from the back. Like a normal Zaxoragon, I am very slender and cut, with no neck. I carry my sword, strapped across my back, locked in its sheath, handle towards the ground.
You people laugh and point. I hear cries, from those on the streets, of horror. Children run as if I am the plague itself. One would think that in a world of much diversity, those that live here would be more open minded. Yet, still I am shunned. Those I try to talk to run or even worse throw me away. "If only they new my skills and power they would not pick on me. My capabilities as a fighter must far surpass many of these peasants, I have trained my whole life in the traditional Zaxorogan style of combat. Still, why can't the beings of this world be more acceptable of those that may be different?"
Weary from my travel, and distraght about reactions to my presence, I enter the Hotel Ritz looking for a place to lay my head for the night. I walk into the hotel and ask for a room, people shun me at first. I try to hurry and get a room, hoping to get away from all this anxiety. Yet, it seemed all at once the entire room surrounded me, those once seeming so scared of my apperance were suddenly so curious. Though they were shunning me no more, I am not sure what to think about this suddenly aggessive action. I had not even gotten a room yet, or had a chance to explore this land that I feel will turn out so great. Yet, I have a sudden feeling that my stay may be short lived.
Not sure what to think and being way out numbered, I prepare for the worst. I take a fighting stance. Standing on my hands and pulling my sword out with my feet, I prepare for battle. "These beings do not know the power of my 'Toe Twirl,' and I hope that I do not have to show them."
One women who seems to be the most beautiful of all, initiates conversation. She asked but I did not hear. Her breast were enormous, and her skin was like that of a goddess. I could here the voice, like angels singing, flowing from her lips, but did not hear the words. My only thought is that I hope I may one day hear her name flow from those lucious lips.
She asks me again, "Who are you and were do you come from?"

Still confused and on the defensive I answer her question. "My name is Zaxagma from the world Zaxoragon, far away in another galaxy." I then ask her a question. "Who are you and what are your intentions?" Ignoreing the question she asks me what my purpose is in this land. I reply, "I answered your question now u answer mine." She raises her hand and all at once, every sword was drawn. At this moment I know she has high standings in this small community. She then says that this is her town and she will do the question asking.
Not being one to back down, I once again test the waters. "I will answer all your questions, if you will at least tell me who it I speak to." Still on the aggressive she states, "I am the one who controls whether or not you keep your head, and that is all you need to know." Severely out numbered, and knowing here is no way I would ever survive such an offensive, even with my superb skills, I do the wise thing and back down.
"I come here to explore this great land and to compete in the Duel of Swords." "What makes you so sure you are good enough to even show your face in our tournament?" she replies. "I have been training my whole life in the Zaxoragon's unique fighting style. I was champion in my land and was sent to this great world to compete by our leader." "We shall soon see if you are really good as you say you are."
She gives a comand to lower their swords, and they do. As she exits I admire once more her perfect body. Her viscid temper and fire intrigues me, and has an arousing effect in me. "One day, one day, I will know her name, and gain her heart." One patron of the bar calls to me, drawing my attention away from this vixon that mesmerizes me with every step. I had not even gotten my room yet, but I go over to the bar were he is sitting.
"Ey, Mate, ows it gowin." I reply with confusion, " g...o...o..d, I... guess." "I see you admaire that fair lass. Ell if I were you I'd keep yours eyes off that prize, she is quite the devil if you know what I mean." "A devil, intriguing. Who is she?" "She'll tell you soon enough, If I were you I would get to trainin though, and keep on ur Ps & Qs."
Taking his advice I continue on with my original goal. Once I had gotten my room, I journeyed up stairs to lighten my load a little. When I had drew my sword I noticed many eyes admiring its craftsmenship and worried one might try and steal it for themself, I keep it by my side. You see swords like mine are rare, and they don;t come cheap. We Zaxoragans have mastered a method of stabilizing frozen water, I believe they call is ice on this world, so that it will hold its solid for even at high temperatures. Also it is stronger than any tempered steal that I have yet to see on any world.
Sword at side, belonging secured, and mind cleared, I lay down for a nap. I must have fallen into a deeper sleep than I expected because that night I had a dream. It was the first dream I had had in what seems like many years.

"Mother? Father?...Mother? Father?... Where am I? Can't you hear me?" Zaxagma's mother and father are standing before an alter. Upon the alter lay a young boy, who seems human. A woman who appears to be the boy's mother is crying and leaning over the boy. A tear drops to the boys cheek. A voice speaks from the background, "Hello Zaxagma, do not speak, only listen." Zaxagma:"Who are you?" Voice:"I said listen. My identity is not what is important, what I have to say, however, can decide the very outcome of your life." "You see before you, your mother, father, and a being you do not yet know." Zaxagma:"What are they doing to him?" Voice:"All the answers to your questions will come in due time. For now you need only know, that you are not what you seem and he is closer to you than you than you think. Great things occur when true love shines its light in your life. Love made you who you are, and love will make you who you are to become."
The dream goes fuzzy. Then comes clear again.
"? Were am I now? Is this Rydin? That boy. Why is he here?" The young boy is in a field. There are hay stacks all around. The boy stands before one stack. He runs up and places a target on the hay stack. He returns to the spot were he was previously standing and picks up a bow. He pulls the string back and lets an arrow fly. Bullseye! Seems he has practiced alot.
When I wake up I try to make sense of this odd dream. I can only ask my self; Who is that boy? What was that voice? What did he mean my answers will come in due time? Well, I can;t sit up here trying to make sense of a dream, I have to train more. I came to this world to fight with the best, no dream can put a stop to that.

My original goal in this land was to compete in the Duel of Swords, and it still is. So after I awake I go down to the bar to find out some information about it. I had only intended to stay in the Hotel Ritz for the night. I go down stairs and up to the bar, were I see the rough adventure that had given me advice about my vixon the prior night. Being that he is the only person I have "met" in this land so far I go up and find a stool next to him.
I could smell him from the time I entered the bar. Yet, he is the only person I have talked to. When I sat down next to him I noticed that he had food stuck all in his beard. And the stool he was setting in seemed to be screaming from pain. "This fellow is definately not a sight for sore eyes, but rather the sight that made the eyes sore in the first place."
I order and ale and pay the bartender a fair amount plus tip. As I sip my ale I turn to the guy and simply ask him what he knows of the Duel of Swords. "Ah, ya want ta know 'bout tha Duel o' Swords do ya. Well I've been there a time or two, though I'm not exactly an expert swordsman. What was that place called? I remember it was in the basement of some hotel down town. I don't exactly remember the name. The duels are held in multiple rings within the arena. I never could figure out how they got all that in a basement that appeared so small." The man loses interest in our conversation as his eyes follow one of the barmaids. "Is that all you know?" "Sorry mate, I have had a drink or two since then. Head to Dragon's Gate, I am sure along the way you might find a friend or two to help show you the way. Oh, and good luck." Taking his advice, I finish off my ale and head for the door. As I am leaveing the man turns and shouts to me, "Oh, and mate, be careful. You are liable to run into that fair vixon of yours at the Duel of Swords."
I exit the hotel and make my way east. I figure I came in from the west so Dragon's Gate must be to the east. On my way I enter a plaza. Its kind of quiet but there are a few souls still around. I walk up to one vender and ask him which was is Dragon's Gate. He tells me, "Just keep headin' down the road your on. Your gonna go through the Old Market, but you will eventually get there." "The Old Market, what is that?" "Well its just that, a market. Its the main gather place to venders from all parts of Rydin." So I continue on my journey to Dragon's Gate.
When I get to Old Market, it is quite crowded, especially when I got down town. One can hardly find his way ten feet without getting lost. Somehow I end up in an alley. A stranger, who appears familiar to me, walks up to me. The stranger hands me a vile and tells me only, "one drop of this stuff, and all you questions will be answered." The stranger then scurries off and when I try to follow him to find out what exactly he is talking about or what it is that he gave me, he disappears.
When I had chased the stranger I had managed to get even more lost. I look around for someone to ask directions, but every one seems so vile in this part of the city. After stumbling around in the alleys for, what seemed like an eternity, I find a street. Not knowing which way to go I do the sensible thing, flip a coin. Heads I go left and tales I go right. Tales it is, and so my journey begins again.
As I am walking down teh street I come to a crossroad. I look down one street and see a sign that says 'Chamber of Commerce.' Needing directions and information I head into the chamber of commerce. There is a desk inside that says, 'Information' one that says 'Taxes' another that says 'Business' and the last one says 'Coin' I go up to the information counter and ask the lady sitting behind it what I need to know about the Duel of Swords. I am trying to get her to hurry for shit too is as hideous as the man from the bar. She tells me the Duel of Swords is held in the basement of the Red Dragon Inn. I ask were I can find that place. She tells me its in the middle of Dragons gate, which is just North/East of here.
Finally getting the information I needed, I head off to find this Red Dragon Inn.
When I get to Dragon's Gate I start to see the concentration of duelers increase, and the concetration of mere peasants decrease. I ask one man, who is tall and stout, he carries a sword of elven steal, yet he is not an elf, which way I can go to find the Red Dragon Inn. He laughs and says, "You don't think your petty self is going to even attempt to duel, do you." To which I reply, "Show me the way and we will soon see who the petty one is." He points towards an elegant building, telling me that you will find the Red Dragon Inn just up this street.
I head towards my destination, closer now than ever. As I get inside I see the Inn in all its elegance, knowing now why its is famed, even across galaxies. I go up to the counter to get a room and notice the stares from those around me. My only thought is, "Please do not let this experience be like the last." Suprisingly, they let me be and I go up to my room. ON my way I ask a gentleman standing next to the stairs, with a Rapier by his side, when the next Duel of Swords will take place. Come to find out tonite is the second of the four day weekly tournament. Hoping to get in tonite I go to my room to get some rest.
