Rumor had it that she was Invaders Zims great-grandchild but no solid proof has been given, and as all Irkens are hatched it is unlikely. Besides its not like Invader Zim could have landed himself a girl to create a child, who would have been a grandparent to Zaya.


Still, given her behavior - often modeled off of old news reels of Invader Zim - its pretty safe to say that she's probably a few coppers short of a silver piece.


At her insistence the old SIR-model known to some as GIR was brought out of storage and assigned to assist her in her Invader duties.
