Serge is narrated exactly the same way as Ellie is, and is driven by a "player" through use of a "command prompt." Other players--that is, us--can interlope the same way as with Ellie. However, he is not as amenable to nonsense suggestions as Ellie might be. He also does not hear the "voices" as strongly as Ellie does; he merely regards them as ideas or impulses.
