Notes from the Isle

ANNOUNCEMENTS: The Challenge for the Tower of Fire was this week, and it was a rematch between Keeper Rachael and the newly Engaged Haru. These two casters kept things hot in the ring Tartarus and in the end the Pyromaster’s reign continues! Well tried Haru, but it looks like Rachael has scored high with lady luck and will be sitting in the hot seat for another month! Rachael’s success on the Isle continued the following night for the completion of the tri-sport events, but more on that coming up!

We’ve got writing positions open here on the Isle, magical ink pots and quills for sale and even some ‘writer’s soap’, which oddly enough smells like whiskey. Come out to the Isle and talk to Max, Helea or Karma about the availability of positions open and try your hand at writing the Histories!

Have you heard the rumors about the Phone of the Wind? Do you have something left unsaid? Do you worry that you weren’t heard or even that you wish to share some good news with someone who is no longer easy to get a hold of? If there’s even just a grain of truth to the rumors, then you should venture out to the island between The Vesper Tea House and The Twilight Pavilion and stop by the phone booth! Ask the attendants at the Pavilion for more information!

Note: Caelia Thornheart won the Elemental Fury Familiar on 6/20/2021 in the Summer All Ranks tournament. This awards the usage of Elemental Fury in regulation matches until the next All Ranks tournament. Haru Jeong won a Ragnarok Infused Magic Orb on 6/20/2021 in the Summer All Ranks tournament. This awards the use of a Mage Spell in regulation matches until the next All Ranks tournament. Haru selected Immolation.

NEWS FROM OTHER VENUES: In the Arena, Myria has challenged for Seaside which seemed to be some part of a deal between her and Jaycy! Because both are members of well known dueling teams, the Wrecking Crew and Real Rhydin respectively, I wonder if we’ll see this as a charity fundraiser exhibition type match! However and whenever it is held though, this is anticipated to be a good challenge to see! No other challenges are currently happening in the Arena as most seemed to be focused on prepping for and participating in the King of the Ring Tournament held on Twilight Isle this past Friday night. It was the conclusion of the tri sport tournament and was quite the melee to catch and see! There were nine fighters who entered the ring and fought amongst each other and dared to dodge electric bolts and sudden attacks from Ashene herself! In the end it was Rachael Blackthorne who stayed in the ring the longest and walked away the winner, complete with two grants of Velgr! Thanks to everyone who came out, participated and made the entire thing entertaining for our esteemed guest watching above, Velgr!

In the Outback, the Summer All Ranks Tournament has been announced and sign ups are open! Everything will be going down next Sunday, August 15th. Come out and beat the heat as they say and even enjoy some snowcones and slushies (spiked for those who enjoy that!) In the challenge realm, Koy has her eyes on the green rock, PathFinder. This challenge will be held tomorrow night! Dakota mentions that holding the opal is exhausting, but maybe its just the extra powers the opals seem to have right now. Will the fashion police make green the newest summer color? Will all the bananas stay fresh forever? Will the Outback pizza bill get even higher? Maybe not that last one, Eden isn’t calling this challenge. Does Ria know Matt’s credit card number?
