Challenge for New Haven
Written on a cocktail napkin in blue eyeliner pencil:
Anubis,
Too many barons have gone without challenge for too long. Therefore, I challenge you for the right to the New Haven ring. Feel free to take it personally.
-Future Baroness of New Haven

Re: Challenge for New Haven
This challenge is gladly accepted.
But I have reason to believe that, were all of those who have ever walked Rhydin's streets gathered for this challenge, not all of them would approve of your decision.
You know what I mean.

Anubis,
If you're implying that the sister of my very soul would object to a little blood and violence between two of her most beloved, you have forgotten that she was chaos incarnate.
I can hear her laughter now.
I'll be in touch about a date.

The lovely Anya has agreed to officiate.
Re: Challenge for New Haven
I've been asked to use the King's Decree on this challenge by someone who wishes to remain anonymous. So I'm posting my intention here.

Re: Challenge for New Haven
Well that sounds exciting whoever you are (though kind of lame that someone wants to remain anonymous; am I scary?). But I also have no idea what that means. Guess I'm getting old. Would someone care to explain?
Also, does RhyDin have a King now?

While trying to be helpful after sleepily stopping by to deliver lunch to Alasdair in the Arena office's Max glanced over the cork boards and posted up a reference note along with a slip of string in attempts at hopefully answer and explain Jewell's questions.

Jewell took the string Max left, fiddling with it on her way out after she left the following note.
Thank you to my mystery benefactor for the information! And congratulations to Yuri. That is a very impressive win record. Much better than Anubis's record lately, huh? No wonder he'd rather have you face me than do so himself!
I look forward to meeting you in the ring Yuri.

Re: Challenge for New Haven
Let it be known to one and all: I did NOT request this intercession, nor do I condone it. The idea of myself being fearful of Jewell Ravenlock is....risible, to say the least.
As I understand, the confused annal of nonsense that are the rules of the Arena hold that my rights as Baron, a title I am more accustomed to and familiar with than anyone who will read this, mean nothing before the grandiose accomplishment of winning a handful of drink-day duels, and I cannot halt this. I accept this, being long inured to the comedy of this bloodsport. But win, lose, or draw, perhaps myself and this Yuri will need to have a discussion.

Re: Challenge for New Haven
Yuri has won more duels in one cycle than the total you have dueled in your laughable "reign" as Baron. Or do you think anyone is impressed by the grand total of three duels you have fought since gaining the Barony?
If only she were Baron instead of you, the title you hold might mean something. As it is now, it is a joke held by an absent duelist that most forget or prefer to forget exist.
