In honor of tonight's challenge, Eden arranged to have some extra special snacks, sweets, and drinks for the event!
Moon-themed cupcakes (in chocolate and vanilla flavors) were set-up on one table, along with out-of-this-world strawberries!
Among the savory snack options were crescent moon handpies stuffed with chicken and potato curry (with the vegetarian option clearly labeled) and ham-and-cheese croissant moonwiches.
And to drink, a Full-Moon Martini:
Club soda, pineapple juice, gin/vodka (your preference), lime juice, and a touch of sweet noir liqueur.
Delicious dueling is ready to go!

This challenge happened tonight and it was very exciting!
Challenging for MoonBeryl was Jaycy, who was looking for her first time holding the yellow opal. Defending the opal was Droet who was looking for his first defense of MoonBeryl! Jaycy and Droet had met over the opals before in a battle over IceDancer after Droet issued challenge and came away successful! The roles were reversed for this fight, and Droet sought to hold onto his title after Jaycy's challenge!
The first challenge fight began, fittingly, on The Wheel! Droet was the first on the board, avoiding Jaycy's strike and hipchecking her back for some space. Jaycy's first point was an exchange of low kicks while our two fighters collided on the wobbly Wheel. The fight then see-sawed through several rounds, with Droet edging ahead and Jaycy catching up! In the seventh round, Jaycy punched her way to her first lead of the fight and right to matchpoint! But Droet dug in and tied things up bringing it to sudden death! In the final round, Jaycy had a fortuitous stumble on the Wheel that managed to get past Droet's defensive hesitation and secure her the win!
FINAL: Jaycy Ashleana def. Droet the Bold, 5 - 4 in 9 rounds.
The second fight shifted to the Boiler where our fighters went blow for blow in the hot close quarters! Jaycy was first on the board, and marched steadily ahead building on her lead. Droet tried to answer, but two trade rounds weren't enough to keep Jaycy from reaching matchpoint! With a timely defense in the heat of the Boiler, Jaycy fended off a kick, and took the win!
FINAL: Jaycy Ashleana def. Droet the Bold, 5 - 2 in 6 rounds.
With that second win, the challenge was awarded to Jaycy! Well-reigned, Droet!
And congratulations to Jaycy, who, as the new holder of MoonBeryl, also becomes the Outback's newest all-title holder!
