Christmas parties and Yuletide filled up all the Inns!
The revelers reveled, a sordid affair
None knowing like last year, Skid soon would be near
All the children were home safe, nestled in their beds
Maybe dreams of sugarplums-- no, Rhy'phones instead
Well then Stitch with some antlers, and Skid in a hat
Dragged a cursed sack brimming with gifts from their flat!
As they roamed through the streets, making nary a clatter
(Except in the West End, for a serious matter)
After stealing some donuts, and coffee for two
The pair set about on the Nightmare's list: To Do!
To deliver the gifts he'd been burdened to bear
Not to children alone, but all folks who lived there
In the city of Rhy'din, the good and the bad
The presents were magic, take them and be glad!
All these goodies he left were of special design
They would only be something the giftee'd think fine!
Maybe something expensive, or something quite plain
He just couldn't say how, or begin to explain!
Like the ways he left presents, no matter the place
Seems there's always a way to invade someone's space
So with Jackal in-tow, and the gifts in the bag
They'd embark on their journey--a Christmas in stag.
((Skid has, as is tradition, been set upon the cursed task of delivering gifts to everyone in town! Every Christmas Eve, he transforms into a red-outfitted santa hat-wearing gift-sack carrying version of himself! He gets into all sorts of places and leaves piles of gifts, even if he doesn't really want to!
If your character would like to receive a gift, they can be found anywhere you're willing to have them, be it under the tree or by the hearth in their favorite Inn, or even in their own home (what are boundaries?) The gifts react to whomever has spotted them, tags filling in with their names and contents taking the shape of something that person would like to receive as a gift!
Skid does his best to let nobody know this happens, so please treat this as an anonymous gifting. After all, the from sections all say "Santa" anyways! Happy holidays everyone.
