Twilight Isle Gloaming District’s
Sensational Summer Saturdays!

Starting on Saturday, June 26th, and running perpetually on every Saturday until September 11th, former Governor Sheridan “Dris” Driscol and his partner in crime Rhys Germain, are opening the doors of their newly acquired island mansion, located at Twilight Lagoon Avenue in the Gloaming District on Twilight Isle, to the general public of Rhydin. Welcome, everyone, to the summer of nonstop partying and waterside fun!

Come thirsty and with your dancing shoes ready to go, as every room will be opened to explore. The grand foyer itself has been transformed into a dance hall, full of laser lights and an elevated stage designated for live bands and talented DJs! Open bars tended by helpful and knowledgeable hired hands are located within the ballroom, upstairs in the lounge, and outside on the lawn. There will be alcohol aplenty, and a wide variety of nonalcoholic drinks as well. Don’t forget to hydrate to avoid a hangover!

Various getaways are at the guests’ disposal. All of the bedrooms, sofas, chairs, and floors are available for the hardest of partiers to crash upon whenever they so choose. Need to cool off? Take a hop in the lagoon, but do so at your own risk! Former Governor Driscol and Mr. Germain cannot be held responsible for any mishaps with mermaids or other potentially dangerous aquatic creatures.

Surely all this partying is destined to make a person hungry! Not to worry, because the hosts have made arrangements with a variety of Rhydin’s finest food businesses, such as the Arena’s Wolves Den Bistro, Twilight Tacos, Nicole’s Bistro & Pizzeria, and many more! Each week will feature a different catering service, so come on out for the feast included in the festivities!

Perpetual party goers were at an all time low on this day, as most celebration seekers had flooded into Kabuki Street to participate in the annual Tanabata Festival. Dris and Rhys were not exceptions to this rule, and did not put in an appearance to their own weekly shindig until much later in the evening, long after the fireworks had ended in Rhydin. All in all, this Gloaming gathering was a much more relaxed affair than had been rumored about in previous weeks.

Tonight the Double Dukes Drhys are hosting a Diamond Quest CVI watch party in their Gloaming District mansion! A grand buffet will be spread in the dining room for visitors to graze from at their leisure, featuring precisely 106 each of all the signature tacos listed on the Twilight Tacos menu. Mountains of nacho chips will be waiting for guests to dress them from buckets full of 106 ounces of nacho cheese, 106 ounces of salsa, 106 ounces of jalapenos, and more! Create your own nacho plate, grab some grub, and kick back with Rhys and Dris in the grand parlor to watch the live feed from the Outback on the ultra big screen TV!

Join them as they engage in a variety of drinking games. Before the main event starts, take a shot for every person who shows up to participate who did not sign up ahead of time! Take a shot any time someone lands an uppercut, spinkick, or hook! Guzzle a bottle of Broot any time a Brootality is declared! Any other "take a shot" or "take a drink" rules that you might think of are welcome, too! Get good and drunk—or not!—and enjoy the show! Stick around after to party until sunrise! There are plenty of places to crash and everyone is welcome!

Come on over to the Gloaming District's Germain-Driscol mansion tonight for a Before-During-and-After Archmage Challenge viewing party! In support of the challenger, Mairead "Maggie" Harker, the Double Dukes Drhys will host catering from the family-owned and operated Nicole’s Bistro & Pizzeria. In support of the defender, current reigning Archmage Mallory Maeda, dozens of cauldrons full of witches brew punch (both spiked and not, and clearly labeled) will be set out throughout the house, both inside and out. Coolers full of the Archwitch's favorite Ramune in an assortment of flavors will also be available, not to mention a variety of other alcoholic and non- beverages. The big screens will be tuned into the live feeds, and binoculars aplenty will be on hand for anyone wanting to try to see the show more live but from a safe distance! The party starts late in the afternoon and continues on until the wee hours of the following morning. Drop on by before, during, and/or after to celebrate in style, one way or another.

Ebon and Phen arrived at the Germain-Driscol mansion around half-past five, clad in appropriate summertime attire. They stayed well after the challenge, enjoying fine company until after midnight.

Rumors that Dris had to pry Ebon's fingers from his piano were utterly baseless.

September 11th - Celebrate the Coronation of the King

Bringing the Saturday perpetual house parties to a close, we will be ending the Sensational Summer festivities by celebrating Salvador Delahada’s climb to the top and becoming the 121st Overlord of the Duel of Swords! An extra portal will be opened in #11 Twilight Lagoon’s guest house that will take visitors directly to and from the Overlord Isle lighthouse. This final Saturday celebration will be held in two locations and runs all weekend long starting at sunrise! Stick around through Sunday evening to watch or participate in the September 2021 Archmage Tournament, too!

Ebon arrived early with Phen on his arm and a large cooler laden with fresh swordfish steaks and mahi-mahi filets, all prepped and ready for grilling. He manned the grill for some time--but on which beach? Did it matter?--and later was seen limbo dancing verrry low and twirling Phen around the bonfire. As midnight came and went, they were still out there enjoying the party and ended up on the Isle, dancing until the first hint of dawn rose over the eastern horizon.

Though they arrived somewhat later, Doran and Sylva got right into the swing of it, him more than her but they both enjoyed themselves. A few hours into the party, Doran brought out one of his flutes and began to play while Sylva broke into a bit of sword dancing, to be met with applause all around.

During the last of the Double Dukes summer parties, glances into mirrors might give glimpses into a place outside of Rhydin's borders. Somehow, Colleen's double fudge brownies were among the desert offerings for the party goers. While there was a magical twist involved in how they arrived, no harm would befall any that ate them. For those that recognized them, there were symbols of health and good fortune in icing on the cakes.

Family and friends had been waiting for this for some time and were bringing in their own favorites for the food offerings! In honor of Sal's ascension to Overlord, Nicole was by with her catering crew. Nicole, Gatito, and Ariana MacGyldren recreated their menu from one of Sal's challenge matches.

September 17th - Félicitations to Our Furry Friend

Surprise! The Double Dukes Drhys are actually throwing one more Summer bonus party! We’re celebrating the birth of our dear friend, Overlord Delahada’s well known and loved companion, the young man who goes by the name of Gatito! This farewell to the season celebration starts at sunrise on Friday the 17th and will spill over into the following Saturday for as long as anyone wants to stay. Make use of one of our numerous available bedrooms and party all night long! Once again a portal will be open direct between #11 Twilight Lagoon’s guest house and the Overlord Island’s lighthouse! Feel free to frolic back and forth between these two locations during this end of Summer birthday bash! And do be sure to pop over to the Tower of Air afterward to celebrate the End of Summer with Gubernational Candidate and Elemental Keeper, Karma Armstrong! This Farewell to Summer weekend is going to be sensational!

Fabulous Fall Fridays!

If you thought the parties were going to stop in September, you were dead wrong! It’s spooky season, and we’re ready to pull on our baggy sweaters while roasting marshmallows! Though the temperatures on Twilight Isle remain pretty constantly warm, that doesn’t mean we can’t pretend. The mansion at #11 Twilight Lagoon has been fully decorated in fall theme flair! Come rest on some palm frond hay bales, kick around a few pumpkins, bob for apples, and dance the hula with a scarecrow or two! Not only will the wine be flowing, but plenty of cider and apple juice -- courtesy of Gardenhome Orchards -- too!

From now until mid-December, come on out every Friday night and dance until dawn! Just as it was during the summer, every room will be opened to explore. The grand foyer itself remains transformed into a dance hall, full of laser lights and an elevated stage designated for live bands and talented DJs! Open bars tended by helpful and knowledgeable hired hands are located within the ballroom, upstairs in the lounge, and outside on the lawn. Take a relaxing soak in the grotto beneath the mansion, or hop into the lagoon for a midnight swim, but do so at your own risk! Friendly reminder that former Governor Driscol and Mr. Germain cannot be held responsible for any mishaps with mermaids or other potentially dangerous aquatic creatures.

Arrangements are ongoing with a variety of Rhydin’s finest food businesses, such as the Arena’s Wolves Den Bistro, Twilight Tacos, Nicole’s Bistro & Pizzeria, and many more! The midnight munchies won’t stop our guests from having the times of their lives!

October 1st - Crowning the Governor Queen of Darkness

Come on out to the Double Dukes' mansion in the Gloaming and join them in celebrating Karma Armstrong's victory in the 2021 Rhydin General Election. At least two of her newly appointed Ministers will be present, hosting the party for a good portion of the night! With any luck you'll see sightings of the rest of the cabinet, too! Dance and drink the night away in style, and raise a toast to Rhydin's newest appointed Governor!

October 8th - LuvBonez Victory Party!

Dris is having a proud "papa" moment again! Come on out tonight to join him and his partner Rhys in celebrating two-time in a row season champions of the Round Robin Cup, captained by current Overlord Salvador Delahada, the notorious LuvBonez! Members of the team will be present, and you may even be able to convince them to sign autographs! Watch out for Minion of Deathlord (HAIL DEATHLORD), as she might try to unlife you! There will be booze and maple syrup aplenty, and a build-your-own-waffle bar in honor of former governor and loyal teammate Rekah Illyriana! We'll be reveling with celebrities, including the infamous Lord Anubis Karos and 2021 Madness Champion Gatito Lindo, and you can too! Be there!
