Ettyn was hung over after having four ales and a shot of rum in the Arena, as well as "dackries" at home; so she tossed a bag of tater tots, some eggs, cheese, sausage, mushrooms, and spring onions into a casserole dish and napped standing up against the counter for an hour while it cooked.

And now I'm hungry.

Not long after Anya had disintegrated a man, her very first human / humanoid kill, Ettyn endeavored to take the edge off with a couple of embarrassing anecdotes about her own early kills.

Fighting on the RhyDin River that day had put at least one of the slayers in the mood for fish -- though pointedly not fish from that same river. Ettyn used freshwater cod brought over from Wildshore Landing, served with a spicy tomato sauce, and burgur wheat prepared with aromatic herbs from the greenhouse:
