Challenge for the Tower of Earth

Post by Goldglo »

Rachael,

I'm challenging for the Tower of Earth. I have my reasons - none of them have anything to do with your coming after the Park recently.

A thick white sheet of parchment was tacked to the corkboard with a black and gold pushpin. The message that it contained was written in an exceptionally precise left-handed script in black ink. A seal in black and gold wax with the impression in the wax of a panther head was at the bottom of the parchment.

Monsieur Matthew,

To begin, I would not presume to question the motives behind your challenge at this time for the Tower of Earth, as such motives are your own to disclose or not as you choose.

I hereby officially accept this challenge.

"The King! The King! The King sends a message!"
"Yes, yes! A message!"
"To be delivered to the Keeper Blackthorne before her challenge!"

The trio of pixies were quick to flutter and fly about the Twilight Isle dueling zone while pestering the goblin currently attempting to paint her nails in peace!

"Right, right, right.. Gimme the message, I'll see that it's delivered." the goblin replied. It's not as if this had been her first time dealing with the Twilight faefolk.

"Only if you give us that cupcake!" one pixie said with a point!
"But the King said we must deliver the message! .. though a cupcake would be nice too.."
"Give us the cucpake! Or no letter for you!"

The trio started tugging and pulling at the goblins ears and cheeks. Even if the second pixie told the truth of it, it wasn't worth not giving them their way.

The cupcake, now being thrice-held by the pixies would disappear into the treeline while the goblin stood there, nails half dry, holding carefully onto a letter with a box attached.

Grumble, grumble.. She'd go see to delivery once she finished her nails.

An hour or so later there would be a package left with one of the earthen elementals.

The Letter Reads

Dearest Keeper Blackthorne,

I hope the dream lilies are to your liking! The treat of honeycakes and appletarts have been received and all are grateful for your kind, generous, and delicious gifts! I will have you know that we have ceased quarreling with our kin of the rivers due to your gesture, though soon began to quarrel once more as they dare to claim that our banners for the banquet should be blue instead of LIGHT blue.

But I do not write you to detail the ongoing feud and instead wish to gift you another boon of Key! Within this box is a Potion of Twilight Dew, a rather potent potion that should hopefully aid you in your challenge against the would be usurper to your crown. I will attempt to witness your challenge in person should I be able.

Best wishes,
Lillianna Frozenpetal, King of the Twilight Fae

Within the box is indeed a potion! It sparkles of twilight when the cork is popped.

I called the Challenge for the Tower of Earth tonight and both Keeper Rachael and challenger Matt put on quite the show! Rachael came out dressed to the nines and Matt was ready to punch his way into the last keepership he needs to have collected all four! So at Rachael's request (and much to my delight!) they fought their best of three matches in ring TITAN! It was very exciting!

They both kept things really close, and even hit SUDDEN DEATH in both matches!!! It looked to be anyways win tonight, but the final results left Rachael undefeated in two matches and Matt taking a casual walk around our beautiful Twilight Isle! I think he'll be back sometime, but who knows when!

Final results:
Rachael Blackthorne def. Goldglo, 5.5 - 4 in 9 rounds.

Rachael Blackthorne def. Goldglo, 5.5 - 4.5 in 10 rounds.

Congratulations again Rachael and well tried Matt!
