Hello, everyone.

We have recently had a withdrawal from the Membership Board that governs the site, and we are posting this thread to indicate that there is a Board position open in accordance with our charter:

A Board member may withdraw from the role at any time. Open positions on the Board will be made public. Any community member may be considered. The Board, including the individual stepping down, will hold a vote on the new member within two weeks of the public announcement.

Board member Mai Sato (Na-rae Takamine, username "PC") has stepped down from their position as of yesterday, March 3rd. The five of us will vote on a new member no later than March 17th.

If you would like to be considered for the position, please send a PM to myself, Eden Parker, Kalamere, or Jake clearly stating your intent no later than March 14th. Thank you for reading, and for your consideration.

Hi all! While I enjoyed working on the board I felt it best to step back and focus on Duel of Swords as Head Coordinator and helping Duel of Magic as Assistant Coordinator. Honestly, stepping down from the board isn't going to mean I stop running events such as the Hunter's Guild and other roleplay ideas, it just gives me a little less on my shoulders so I'm not stretched too thin.

I look forward to seeing who will be taking my spot and wish them all the luck!

Hello again, everyone!

First of all I would like to thank everyone who applied. Active stewardship of our community is how we sustain and grow what we have built here, and we could not do it without players stepping up to volunteer.

After reviewing the applications, the board -- including our outgoing board member Mai Sato (PC) -- has selected Michelle Montoya as our newest member. She has committed significant time and energy into our site already, has an open and collaborative spirit, and invests herself in everything our community has to offer. Thank you for volunteering, Michelle!

And thank you very much to Mai Sato (PC) for everything you have done in your role as a board member, on top of everything you have done and continue to do as a member of our staff. We look forward to the rest of Madness, and your future in the Duel of Magic!
