Challenge for Dragon's Gate

Far be it for me to waste an opportunity such as what currently exists for the issuing of a challenge.

Sure, I said that I was pretty much done since I've accomplished everything there is to accomplish. Since there are some new "perks" involved, however, I cannot let this opportunity to pass me by, both the financial perks as well as the dating perk.

Thus, as you, Shadow, are a good fighter and should I win or lose, it will be a worthy battle in any case, the fact that you're the longest reigning Baron, and have had no challenges within your current reign, I hereby deem you the opponent of choice.

I use one of my current Winter Cycle Challenge Grants to press challenge to you for Dragon's Gate. You can continue running your school there.

P.S. This was sudden and Saul is currently on vacation. So I had to do this myself. How sad.

Denizens of the Duel of Swords!

Once again it was my immense privilege and pleasure to be chosen to officiate this duel!

G'nort Esplenade G'neesmacher Dragoon-Talanador the Third, Warlord of most legendary renown, dueled under the colors of silver and blue, and the banner of the Company of the Dragon. His Lady of Honor was listed as Mercedes Velasquez, but he also fought for the honor of the entire Arena. Standing in as his Second this evening was Gabriella Alexandros.

Shadow, the shadiest of elves, 22nd Baron of Dragon's Gate and 44th holder of the Eighth Baronial Ring, dueled under the colors of the pink and black Dirty banner. He fought for the honor of Lady Rayvinn of the Winds, and her students and daughters, the six young ladies rescued from a life on the streets by the Scathachian Isuelt de Romiano: Analise, Chloe, Brynn, Jacynth, Octavia, and Silviana. His Seconds are all of the members of Team Dirty, who are not just teammates, but brothers and sisters as true as any family.

Overlord Nayun interceded on Shadow's behalf to test the challenger. Empress Baroness Jewell Ravenlock of Dockside rose to the challenge to champion G'nort. In just seven rounds, Jewell bested the Overlord five to one and allowed for G'nort to proceed with his challenge and square off against Shadow in a single deciding duel. It took G only eight rounds himself to defeat Shadow and become the 23rd Baron of Dragon's Gate.

Congratulations on your victory, G'nort! Nicely tried on that defense, Shadow!

Let it be known for the record that G'nort has chosen to align Renegade to the current Overlord.
