Thus, in order to achieve this goal I have set before me, I must challenge you for your title. The Dockside Barony.

Esteemed colleagues and duelists of the realm! I, your former Governor Sheridan Driscol, was present to officiate this match between Baron VanBokkelen and the Lady Hayashibara! Once again, I bribed one of the Isle's goblins to magically record the results for you on the attached scroll. I'll waste no time in saying that Xanth chose a single combat format, and that in the end Aya Hayashibara secured a victory! Congratulations, Aya! Well tried, Xanth!

DUEL Dris: "Good evening, ladies and gentlemen! And assorted other gendered parties possibly present in the audience tonight." 

DUEL Dris: "Right! Yes! Welcome one and all to the Arena! Tonight you will bear witness to another grand challenge! If I could just direct your attention to the center stage!" Taps the butt of his cane, twice, on the floor. In succession, two spotlights, of opposing colors, blue and red, shine down on opposing corners of the main event ring.

DUEL Dris: "In the RED corner! Defending his title for the second time since acquiring it. Under the standard of the Prince's Flag of the Netherlands, colors of orange, white, and blue. With no Second to stand by him, and no Lady of Honor. Your 19th Baron of Dockside, the 37th holder of the Third Baronial Ring, Xanth 'the Maniacal' VanBokkelen!"

DUEL Dris: "In the BLUE corner! Your challenger! Under the standard of the red and white flag of the Shinmei-Ryu dojo. Equally with no Second, and no Lord of Honor. The bold! The beautiful! The-- She's more than likely to stick me than accept my offer of a date! Lady Hayashibara Aya!"

DUEL Dris: "Baron VanBokkelen! Have you chosen a format for this evening?"

DUEL Dris: "SINGLE COMBAT!" He slams the butt of his cane down on the ground. More spiraling fireworks whizz and squeal out of the head of the cane, crackling in a multicolor array high overhead.

DUEL Dris: "When ye are both ready! Please... Enter the ring and BEGIN!"

DUEL Dris: Dockside Round 1: "The Baron begins with a straight forward approach that just can't seem to get through Aya's very fine defense. First blood to the lady!" (FLP/TH) 1 - 0 Aya

DUEL Dris: Dockside Round 2: "Aya's trying to punch the point straight on home now this round, but Xanth's turning the tables right back around on 'er to even up the score!" (TH/FCP) 1 - 1

DUEL Dris: Dockside Round 3: "Xanth is swinging in low to try to sweep the lady off 'er feet, but Aya is quick to remind him that she's spoken for thank you very much!" (FCP/LC) 2 - 1 Aya

DUEL Dris: Dockside Round 4: "They're both swingin' high, which means their weapons collide. Nobody scores. This seems like a perfect opportunity for me to push Gabby's pastries on ye. Do please help yerselves to the cupcakes." (HC/HC) 2 - 1 Aya

DUEL Dris: Dockside Round 5: "Aya's tippin' her weapon the other way, but the Baron's got her money and a fabulous defense lined up to hold her at bay. We're even Steven yet again with a tie score!" (LC/FCP) 2 - 2

DUEL Dris: Dockside Round 6: "Xanth's lookin' to help Aya out with a little trim off the top, but the lady's droppin' down under that with a no way, sir. No how and no thank you! In this way she takes back the lead!" (FDU/HC) 3 - 2 Aya

DUEL Dris: Dockside Round 7: "The Baron's on the offensive yet again, but once more playing it safe is working in Aya's favor. Add a little pizzazz to the mix and her lead gets extended a step away from victory. One more point to go." (FCP/TH) 4 - 2 Aya

DUEL Dris: Dockside Round 8: "Both the Baron and Aya swing low. Their weapons make beautiful music together, but nobody's scoring. Therefore we move along to the next round with Aya maintain' 'er lead." (LC/LC) 4 - 2 Aya

DUEL Dris: Dockside Round 9: "Not much going on up in here this round. Bunch o' jukin' an' jivin', but nobody scorin'. We'll keep on keepin' on 'til one ye does!" (DU/FSS) 4 - 2 Aya

DUEL Dris: Dockside Round 10: "This is about where the both of 'em start showin' fatigue. Aya does a fine job tickin' aside that attack, but it's not quite enough yet t' fully secure a victory." (CP/LC) 4.5 - 2.0 Aya

DUEL Dris: Dockside Round 11: "The Baron's not yet ready to concede defeat. With a fine display of fancy footwork, Xanth puts 'imself in an advantageous position large enough to secure another full point an' keep Aya from possibly walkin' off with 'is ring a little longer." (LP/FSS) 4.5 - 3.0 Aya

DUEL Dris: Dockside Round 12: "Xanth's continuing along the come back road by punchin' home that hit faster'n Aya can complete the swing she might'a meant to take 'is 'ead off with." (HC/TH) 4.5 - 4.0 Aya

DUEL Dris: Dockside Round 13: "The Baron slips around Aya's defense and puts us all on the edges of our seats! We're down to the wire now as the score is all tied up! This could be anyone's game now. Who's it gonna be? Will Xanth maintain his barony? Or will Aya take it from 'im? Drop the hammer. It's SUDDEN DEATH!" (CP/SS) 4.5 - 4.5

A stunning conclusion to this challenge comes by way of the Baron settin' 'imself a solid wall o' defense that the lady Aya swings an' cuts right on over!
