Grab your friends because Twilight Isle is seeking 4 teams of 4 people each to take part in the magic team event to end all spell slinging team events. As the Nexus shifts climb the Staircase of the Stars to cast in special celestial rings that will only come out to play on this one night. Along the way, top up on the extra mana that fills the air and duel like a Mage. (Beta Test)

On the line are 5 WoL to each member of the winning team. Whichever individual spellcaster racks up the most wins on the night will also be rewarded with the Spirit Staff. Each team that registers by Friday, January 30th at 8 PM Rhydin Eastern Time will receive 1 bonus WoL per teammate. A line up of super secret prizes also awaits duelists who fulfill the will of the stars throughout the night so anyone can walk away a winner.

Final format is TBD based on caller availability but will be either round robin or double elimination. Each round will be 4v4 for each matchup and team captains will be responsible for submitting their 4 person “lineup” order 5 minutes prior to the start of each round. The team with the most points at the end of the round (maximum of 5 per person per win, 4 per person per loss) wins. Each member of the winning team takes home 5 WoL plus any applicable pre-sign up bonuses.
We are limiting registration to 4 teams at this time while we test out this format. Additional teams may sign up as alternates in the event any team needs to bow out. We may be able to accept additional teams beyond the initial 4 if the response is big enough. There will also be a thread in the OOC forum here: ISO Team! for those seeking teams.
One character per player, please. Much like other tournaments, in the interest of keeping things moving as smoothly as possible, we will adhere to a 5 minute casting limit each round in order to try and keep the tourney from running too late. Exceeding 5 minutes once will result in a friendly reminder from the caller. Anything after that will result in a mis-cast, meaning no spell was invoked and the opponent's spell scores for maximum damage. After a mis-cast, the duelist is still not allowed to use whatever spell they most recently used. That way the mis-cast does not serve as a type of disengage. In the case anyone needs more than 5 minutes for an urgent/special circumstance, please alert the caller, opponent, and the room so they they know you need a few minute and will return asap.
All entrants will duel at Mage rank and will select their mage spell at the start of the tournament with no changes throughout.
