Caelum Manor

Located Southeast of Rhy'Din proper on seventy-two acres of secluded woodland and lake front property, Caelum Manor serves as the primary residence of Noctis Caelum and Claire Farron. A winding driveway leads past a secure gated entrance to a three-residence compound nestled in a private cove on a turquoise lake, the entirety of the property secured by the natural fencing provided by granite outcroppings around the acreage's perimeter. The main residence is a sprawling 20,000 square foot house that boasts an indoor pool, multiple fireplaces and separate his and hers office suites for those times when you really just don't want to deal with anyone.

Outside, you can find a heated pool with a view of the lake. It includes a water slide and a lakeside terrace with a fire pit. Lakeside, thirteen hundred feet of shoreline transitions from lush grass to golden sand and a dock that can accommodate a boat if needed. Walking and riding paths cut through the almost storybook-like woods, providing hours of aimless recreation. A charming two-bedroom lakeside guest cottage and separate eight-bedroom caretakers’ residence round out the compound.

Reserved for special guests or friends or family, the bark-sided cottage is a short stroll from the main house. Recently remodeled and modernized, the interior features a kitchen, lakefront sitting area and living room each with wood burning fireplaces, two bedrooms and one bathroom. A large deck overlooks the lake as well.

Near the gatehouse and main gated entrance is the 3,600 sq. ft. Caretakers’ Residence with two-car garage. The upper level contains a three bedroom home with kitchen, living room/family room and fireplace. The lower level has a two-bedroom apartment with sitting area and kitchenette and three additional bedroom Bedroom Suites, each with its own entrance. The Caretakers’ Residence has a private entry to the estate, utilizing the same entry as the Caelum Training Center.

The Sassy Owl Saloon

Located just east of the market square, The Sassy Owl Saloon is home to cozy booths, craft beers, and comfort food, made to order by head chef Garrett. Featuring both local and import brews, ask for the weekly special for seasonally rotating selections. Sassy Owl carries local favorites Badsider and Silvermark as well as Terran favorites Guinness and Sam Adams.

The L-shaped building features an entrance in both the front and the rear, the latter of which leads to an open air beer garden for Rhy'Din City's warmer nights. As you enter, a cherry wood bar lines the wall to the right while mismatched tables dot the barroom. Above the bar, flat screen TVs are mounted and regularly stream feeds from dueling events like challenges and the cyclical Warlord and Archmage Tournaments as well as the Outback's Diamond Quest. Around the corner to the left sits a cluster of booths, each lined with plush cushioning and adjustable curtains for privacy.

The menu features standard bar and grill fare as well as on request dishes to suit any taste. Ask and Garrett will make it happen. Or try the ever popular Serah Special; double pepperoni and green olive pizza and a cold Guinness from the tap.

Caelum Center

Located in the northwest corner of the Caelum acreage, Caelum Center provides an athletic and dueling training facility, open by invitation only at this time. Serving as a home base of sorts to the Team Dirty dueling team (in its various incarnations depending on the team sports season), fighters have access to top of the line equipment ranging from strength training to cardio, boxing to armed fighting, and everything in between. Sparring partners are available upon request and are chosen from Caelum Enterprises Enforcement Division, ensuring a world class training experience. The first level of the sprawling complex features warded rings for dueling practice and competition should the need ever arise, a boxing ring and even an enclosed cage for the more intense matches.

Limited spectator seating is available with an additional standing room only observation area on the second floor balcony. Additionally, the second floor houses the less combat-centric equipment; strength, conditioning, and agility facilities.

Dragon's Gate Orphanage

Set along the northern wall of Dragon's Gate District, an old estate has been remodeled and converted into the new home of Dragon's Gate Orphanage. Founded by Shadow in late 2013 with the assistance of Claire and others, the orphanage comfortably houses fifty of Rhy'Din's parentless children with room for an additional sixteen should the need ever arise. Backed by a non-profit of the same name, a three member board made up by Shadow, Claire, and Noctis oversee operations, finances, and day to day life at the orphanage. Shadow is the standing headmaster of the seven thousand square foot home on a cobblestone street. A minimal yard behind it is predominantly occupied by a newly acquired playground set, a gift to the Orphanage from Taneth Mercer. Heavily warded against those who seek to harm or ill will against the underaged charges of the home, the secure orphanage boasts five bedrooms on the second floor, each able to accommodate six to eight teenagers, along with a converted hobby room that serves as the dorm area for up to twenty children under the age of twelve. The main floor is home to the headmaster's suite, an infirmary, and a fully stocked library.

The Home of Zack Alcar

Styled after Terran Japanese culture, Zack's home is a remodeled martial arts dojo sitting on a small parcel of land in Nosgoth. Outside, a small tranquility garden surrounds a koi pond and a pebble lined walk way. Inside, two moderately sized bedrooms match the motif with a streamlined and minimalist master bedroom for Zack. An open living room segues into a dining area and frequently used kitchen that regularly emanates stomach rumble inducing scents whenever Zack is left in there for too long. A door near the back of the kitchen leads to what's left of the dojo proper, a compact but functional training area set up for armed and unarmed sparring.

Rose Cottage - The Beach House

Four hours north of Rhydin City sits a thirteen hundred square foot contemporary styled beach house nestled among sand dunes and tucked away from the worries of everyday life. Three cozy bedrooms, one and three-quarters bathrooms and one hell of a view welcome those who stay there. The waves crashing against the shore and the gulls that fly overhead are frequently heard sounds, the ocean only a short jaunt away. It isn't unusual to see surfboards planted in the sand just off of the main deck or other beach equipment dotted around the quaint house. The focal point of the living area is a wall of windows that overlooks the front deck and a heat-circulating fireplace that makes cooler nights comfortable without stifling the natural breezes that come in off of the sea. The living room area transitions into a small dining room and open country style kitchen. Set off of the kitchen, a mudroom keeps the beach's sand contained for the most part, as well as various beach equipment as needed.

Caelum Manor Guesthouse

Colloquially known as "The Guesthouse" and reserved for special guests, friends or family, the 1150 sq. ft. stone and bark-sided cottage is a short stroll from the main house even though the main house has been sold. The guesthouse was separated from the main parcel of land and as such is serviced by a new rear driveway. Recently remodeled and modernized, the interior features a kitchen, lakefront sitting area and living room each with wood burning fireplaces, two bedrooms and one bathroom. A large deck overlooks the lake as well.

The Wyatt Brownstone

Set within a row of newly remodeled, single family brownstones in New Haven district, the Wyatts' home is the very picture of tasteful opulence. Though just twenty feet wide, the building stretches upwards four floors where it finally gives way to a rooftop garden. Underneath lies a cellar containing plenty of storage space, utilities, and laundry as well as a mancave for the man of the house. Additionally the home is heavily and powerfully warded, protected so well that unless you've been invited, the home seems to disappear from view, the row of townhouses on Astoria Lane skipping from Number 5 to Number 7 if you don't know any better.

The garden floor boasts two bedroom areas that have been converted into an office for Raven and a playroom for Addie and Clara. Raven's office area opens up to an deep set patio/garden area, enclosed by a high reaching privacy fence. Upon moving in, half of the patio pavement was ripped out in favor of planting sod.

On the parlor floor you can find both a front and rear parlor which serve as a formal and informal living room area respectively. The den in the middle was converted into a library, the shelves in which are still being filled with books. An eat-in kitchen contains a breakfast nook with a view of the garden below through a high bay window.

The third floor has both Raven and Henry's bedroom as well as a room shared by Addie and Clara. The girls were given the larger of the two rooms if only because the smaller has an attached deck. Great for sunning, not so great for toddlers.

On the fourth floor, two of the three bedroom spaces are reserved for guests while the third, the smallest, acts as a walk in closet of sorts for the girls occupying the home. Another laundry unit makes it so trips to the cellar aren't nearly as frequent. A hatch leads from the fourth floor to the roof where the space on top of the brownstone was quickly transformed into a green space full of potted trees, plants, and flowers.

The Owl Apartment

Around the side of the Sassy Owl Saloon, a staircase leads to an unassuming (and heavily warded) door on the second level of the building. A renovation project started almost a year ago, the apartment above the bar was meant originally to be an in town crashpad for Claire and family. It is currently occupied by Claire's ward Luciana Trevisano. Though significantly smaller than Caelum Manor, the two bedroom, one and three-quarter bath flat has more than enough room for a family of four if needed. The floor, save for the bathroom areas, is the original wood flooring, refinished and polished to a shine, while the exposed brick of the walls gives the place a certain industrial-chic appeal. Maintaining the same L-shape as the building below, it also has a semi-private balcony over the Owl's beer garden.

Hangman Distillery

Set on the southern bank of the river, on the north side of Old Temple district, Hangman Distillery opened in late January of 2017. The complex has several buildings that make up the distillery itself as well as the aging building and the taproom. Tours are given of the distillery on weekends while the taproom is open to the public year-round. The taproom sells full bottles of the entire Hangman line and also boasts an expansive cocktail selection and food menu for those wishing to dine in.

Tour the distillery and watch the distillation and barrelling process live before the barrels are taken away to a temporally enhanced aging room.

Ghost Bear Whiskey--
An evolutionary liquor, the Ghost Bear experience begins with the scent and ends with a continued flavor on the palate long after swallowing. Sporting notes of toffee, oak, nut, fruit (black cherry and ripe peach), and dark chocolate espresso, the complex flavor is laid over a lingering, leafy damp kiln smoke reminiscent of leather, tobacco, and a hint of wild game.
Slugger's Select Honey Whiskey--
Sporting a pungent honey scent right off the bat, it also has a touch of earthiness to it in the form of fudge, all spice, and complimentary floral notes. On the tongue, Slugger's Select boasts a rich and dark flavor with sweet milky coffee, dark chocolate and demarara sugar lightened by some candied lemon hints. From start to finish you can expect rich and sweet honey undertone beneath it all, lightly pungent and floral, with a real honey flavor.
Black Bear Bourbon--
With Black Bear Bourbon, taste a melding of candied citrus, blueberry, nectarine, and sultana, all pulled together with honeyed vanilla and orange. Underneath, there is a kiss of cocoa, mint, and cinnamon married with tobacco leaves, leather, and a tasteful bourbon barrel char for a warm finish.
Gallows Private Label Select--
With a remarkable aroma of tropical fruits like pineapple, grapefruit, guava, mango, and peach, the Gallows Private Label Select also offers hints of toffee-coated nuts, vanilla fudge, cedar, and cocoa. It finishes with very light note of peat smoke for a smooth, heady, and haunting flavor combination that lingers long after the last drop.
Fireshot Cinnamon Whiskey--
Cinnamon obviously dominates Fireshot's flavor. Equal parts sweet and spicy, it's alarmingly drinkable. At first whiff it seems quite fiery and while it has a big dose of cinnamon, it carries a pleasant heat with accents of brown sugar and butter underneath the cinnamon and spice with just a hint of barrel char to balance the sweetness.

Caelum Training Center at New Haven

After Caelum Manor and the associated property was sold, the Caelum Training Center was left in a state of flux. But with Claire's move back to the city, so too came the gym. On a plot of land at the extreme north end of New Haven (off the edge of the city map even), sits the new Caelum Training Center at New Haven. Featuring the same state of the art equipment for both athlete and dueling training, the center will be open to the public come Fall of 2017. Serving as the home base to the Team Dirty dueling team and its various members, fighters have access to equipment ranging from strength/endurance training, cardio, boxing and armed fighting, and everything in between. Sparring partners are on hand and available for freestyle sessions or personalized training programs.

Similarly laid out to the training center pre-move, the first level features warded rings for dueling practice and competition along with a boxing ring and an enclosed octagon for cage matches. At the far end of the building, a climbing wall stretches across the expanse of first and second floors. The second floor is home to the strength, conditioning, and agility facilities along with an observation area of the first floor. New additions to the center include an Olympic sized lap pool and a children's gym area.

Riad Andiria & High Noon B&B

In the months since Lilith vacated the Cadentia Baronial Manor, construction began on a new structure out in the desert. Positioned near one of the sparingly dotted oases a few miles from the Cadentia bazaar, the High Noon Boom & Break Room facility lives anew. Even Nooners Saloon has been resurrected at the new location and is similarly attended to by the Faez siblings, Khalil and Kamaria.

Onsite, a private home was also built to serve as a getaway for the Anderson family (or whoever else they want to loan it out to). Built in Moroccan riad style akin to the Maeda's Riad Alhazu in Cadentia proper, the handsome three story building features classic architecture paired with modern amenities. Most of the home is done in shades of white and gold accented with pops of vibrant shades of red and turquoise. For privacy and protection from the elements, most of the home is centered around a central courtyard that features a turquoise tiled pool and lush green foliage. The second story balcony overlooks the courtyard, though each of the rooms that open to the balcony similarly have private balcony's facing outward from the home. The first floor features living and family rooms, both an open air and closed dining room, and an expansive kitchen along with changing facilities and a sauna to go with the pool. The second floor is home to six bedrooms, each with its own private bathroom. The third floor is taken predominantly by the master suite, an expansive and opulently decorated den of hedonism and decadence, complete with a full bar and wine collection. Atop the third floor is a rooftop garden and a hot tub. Due to the items grown, no children are allowed on the roof. It was constructed without the knowledge of Lilith's wife, Andrea, and was presented to her to celebrate their 2.5 year wedding anniversary. Why 2.5? Because Lil said so.
