Winter's Hearth Tournament

In the depths of winter, Fire provides warmth, light, and protection against the cruelties of the cold, dark season.

And in some cases, diversion! The Fire Tower is sponsoring the Winter's Hearth tournament!

All are welcome to this All-Ranks tournament, which will follow a double elimination format. Each round will grant the advancing duelers greater powers as they vie for the prizes, of which there are three:

The Spirit Staff: An eldritch weapon of power which allows the user to summon the powers of the Elemental Fury in any regular duel, for one cycle!

Fire Gems: A pair (2) of these powerful, single-use gems, channeling the element of Fire's fury!

Keeper Powers: For five consecutive nights of magical dueling, the winner of this prize will be granted my own powers, those of a Mage Emeritus Keeper! I will drop to the rank of Apprentice during that time, of course.

First, second, and third place winners will have their choice of one of these prizes, in order of tournament placement.

This tournament shall occur on Saturday, February the 22nd, at 8:30 PM by the clock of RhyDin! Sign up below!

((Rules for the power-increase by round are as follows: The first round will grant all participants three (3) foci to use, as per All-Rank tournament standard; the second round will allow participants to choose between Immolation and Nether Ray; the third will allow participants to use both Mage spells; the fourth and any subsequent rounds will allow all previous powers, plus Elemental Fury to be used once per duel.

The Keeper Power prize will include the five nights after the tourney in which DoM may be dueled, which includes Tuesdays and Fight Nights.

Notice: Seeding will be determined by Ring of Klytus rankings, then sign-up order if the dueler lacks an RoK ranking. Sign-ups will close at 8:30 ET; walk-ins will be allowed from 8:30 to 8:40, and seeded *after* all sign-ups, in order of request.))

((Just FYI for historical purposes, this is an official DoM All Ranks Tournament, which is why the Spirit Staff is up for grabs in this tourney. Rena and I had discussed holding an ART in February with the spirit staff as a prize, and it made more sense to merge tourneys with Shadow since he is an official and was planning a tournament as well.))

The Tower of Fire will be providing a full array of cookies, cupcakes, and Dragon cake for all who attend, be they participants in the tourney or not! Cinnamon hot chocolate will also be available, in addition to Twilight Isle's usual selection of beverages. Enjoy!
