Challenge to the Overlord
Teagan,
I have unseated your Senior Baron. I have bested your Champion.
Now, I come for you.

After careful consideration of the rules, and discussion with the rest of the administration, it is decided that this challenge is, in fact, Valid and may proceed.
Renegades are able to challenge the Overlord at any time, with restriction of only once per calendar month, and there is nothing stated in the rules that say a Renegade Baron cannot issue a challenge when still under challenge.
This does not mean that it will always be like that. That will be addressed. Since this challenge was issued prior to any written rules on the subject, it is deemed acceptable that this challenge is legitimate.
The Arrangements may proceed.

By which you mean after you all spent days trying to find loopholes in your own rules you were forced to acknowledge that you could either let him have his due, or tear down and invalidate the honored system you have clung to for years. Then you spent a few more days trying to decide which of those was the better option.
Better hurry and stick in as many anti-Vanion clauses as you can before he takes power!

This was a wholly unnecessary and uncalled for response. If Vanion did not have a case, the challenge would not be listed as valid, and there weren't even any searches for loopholes to invalidate his challenge. There were a few more issues to discuss about this than simply whether or not the challenge was valid, not that I'd expect some new arrival to understand anything about due process.Xanthippe Kasiph wrote:By which you mean after you all spent days trying to find loopholes in your own rules you were forced to acknowledge that you could either let him have his due, or tear down and invalidate the honored system you have clung to for years. Don't take me for someone who's just going to sit here and allow people to attempt abusing those who make the decisions. I'm more than happy to tell you when you're wrong and acting like a complete idiot.
And you, Xanthippe, are acting like a complete idiot.

Then you've got a very small audience. I don't tolerate fools and idiots like others, so I suggest treading carefully.Xanthippe Kasiph wrote:Squire duties and all! I also write poems!Claire Farron wrote:How cute...Vanion's got a spokesgirl.

I did warn you.Xanthippe Kasiph wrote:Squire duties and all! I also write poems!
G'nort - A poem by Xanthippe.
His 3:16
Suggests a mind still quite green
But much more can be said in damnation.
He blusters and blows,
To hide how little he knows
I have but one final point in summation -
From his name to estate,
G'nort loves to inflate
I have only one word: compensation!
Look for my booth in the Market District. I do parties!

And Xanthippe claimed she wasn't Vanion's pet. Looks as though she's eager to please.

Ah, Shadow.
I was taking a stroll in your District just late last night. I met a girl that looked nothing like Xanthippe.
She was not particularly eager to please. She did, though, despite herself.
Did you know that one's heart can explode from screaming long enough?
Some girls just can't take the knife.

Very good, Vanion. Put down a written record of your constant, cowardly crimes for all to see; it makes my job so much easier. I'd recommend not sleeping too deeply - ever.

Ah, what fun, a threat! It's been almost a week since someone suggested that they were going to kill me.
Though, it's slightly surprising coming from you, Baron Shadow. Could it be panic clouding your judgement, your calm? Perhaps you look at Twilight Isle, and the state of the city, and are finally coming to realize the truth.
Change is coming. Your morality is a passing fad.

My judgment is unclear? You think that you can walk all over this city's residents without repercussion? Honestly, it is not only me you need worry about - though should you ever wish to test me without the protection a dueling ring offers, please, be my guest.
I have no fear of your sort. Only pity. But as I proved in our last conflict, that pity will never cloud my judgement when doing what needs to be done.
Your time is coming, Baron Shadowcast. But not in the way you believe.
