Diamond Quest Decor! (4/14)

Post by DUEL Jasper »

The Outback had finally lost it's mind.. either that or someone was awfully tired of all the dirty snow that kept lingering in the Rhy'din streets and made it impossible to wear nice Vera Wang heels or the grey suede boots some had in their closets and kept staring at forlornly with a promise of whipping them out shortly. That is, if Mother Nature ever decided to play along.

The Diamond Quest that would be underway in a few hours was now even more of a party as huge fake diamonds hung from the ceiling and off of the Fern and Styx ring. The Can had vines (all the floral along the room was fake, of course.) draped over it and everywhere dashed about the room were blooms of every size and color. The Pit even had a dusting of pixie dust in a couple of different colors so the mud looked positively rainbow like as grape, strawberry and lime flavored (and colored) were strewn around to give it color.

"WELCOME SPRING" was spelled out, each letter hung on the railing along the bar and was accented by more vines. The barstools themselves had silver tinsel taped to it, possibly to symbolize rain and urge the weather to knock if off with the white crap.

One of the Rask Generic Rings was completely full with various tables of food. Rolls of bologna, roast beef or turkey and cheese were on a few of the platters. Crackers with cheese, both hard and cream cheese decorated another platter. Cubed fruit arranged in yet another semblance of a rainbow tantalized hungry duelers with toothpicks near for easy pickings, and three huge clear barrels finished off the filled ring with three different colors of slushie mix, the white paddle seen as it constantly stirred the mixes. Cherry, blue raspberry and another un-named but green colored slushie mix waited to be slurped up in small little plastic cups.

Every half hour, the lights were set to go out and for three minutes and eighteen seconds after, a disco ball lit by hanging white LED's and other christmas colored lights blink as a melody filters over the Outback speakers. (song found here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EETThhfzF_g )

A second Rask Generic Ring was also filled, this one had tables filled with chocolate drops, russian cookies (the white powder covered ones) and a myriad of cookies in all sorts of flavors and colors. Again, there was another rainbow of sugar cookies and those with colored frosting. Hazelnut chocolate sat wrapped in green frog colored foil, all sitting on a plate that was wrapped in blue saran wrap to imitate a 'pond' of sorts.

The blue saran wrap was also wrapped around the bar to make it look like a 'pond' and other chocolate frogs were placed along there complete with rubber ducks of different colors and outfits set along in random places.

At least the DQ would have plenty of well fed spectators as well as fighters.
