April 2013 Archmage Tournament

The April Archmage Tournament will be held on Sunday, April 7th at 8:00pm Eastern! The format will be double elimination, and late entrants have no more than 5 minutes to arrive. Seeding will begin at 8:05pm, and casting will begin at 8:10pm. Seeding will be done via the most recent RoK rankings. Please post your registrations as replies to this thread. Good luck everyone!

That's right, Mur. I want everyone there. Heck, I'm even going to call the thing so Lem can compete too. That way, there'll be no excuses when I defend from people who weren't able to attend or whatnot.

In the words of the Imp- I WUZ THAR!!! We had seven mages show up, each competing for the right to get beat down by me at a future date. In no particular order- Xanth, Jesse, Mur, Matt, Rena, Lem, and Rachael. It figured that for seven duelists, we ended up having seven rounds, because no one wanted me to get any sleep last night. Here's the breakdown:

Rd 1- Xanth bye
Jesse over Rachael 5-2.5
Mur over Lem 5.5-2.5
Rena over Matt 5-3.5

Rd2:
Jesse over Mur 5-1.5
Rena over Xanth 5.5-4.5
Matt bye
Lem over Rachael 7-6

Rd3:
Jesse over Rena 5-3.5
Mur over Matt 5-2.5
Lem over Xanth 5-2.5

Rd 4:
Jesse- won winner’s bracket, so she got to sit and wait for a while
Mur bye
Lem over Rena 5.5-3

Rd 5:
Lem over Mur 5.5-2

Rd6:
Lem over Jesse 5-1.5

Rd 7:
Lem over Jesse 5-4

So after some crazy hijinxs, including losing in the first round, being in a 3.5-0 hole in the second, a 2.5-0 hole in round 7, and round 7 being in Sudden Death, Lem emerged victorious. As such, his beatdown shall be delivered by me this Thursday at 8:30EST.

Tonight, even before the challenge started, they were talking about making it a 300 round match but then it kept coming down to a reasonable number-like 50. Eventually it ended up being 25.

It took all three duels, but Vinny defended his right to live in the Celestial Tower for two more months.
