Renegade Baron of Old Temple for Magic Use Registration Prop
Rakeesh Sah Tarna, the Renegade Baron of Old Temple, requested a proposition be addressed at the Government Advisory Council on Monday, January 21, 2013. Though not present, his proposition was touched on some. The Renegade Baron requested that citizens be screened on the streets to see if they are magic users. If found, said magic users would be registered.
The Barony of Seaside does not believe in this. I believe everyone has a right to anonymity, a view shared by our current Overlord, Candy Hart.
As this problem may impact the lives of those who frequent the Duel of Magic rings, I ask that you take the time to look into the Overlords Tournament and consider the cost of not joining.
Thank you for your time.
Your Baroness of Seaside,
Andrea "Apple" Anderson

He looked over the post and couldn't help but shake his head. Perhaps stepping down was the wrong thing to have done. Though, while he could be multiple places at once, the time just never seemed to be where it needed to be. Instead, he took the citizens that he cared for in his district more to heart rather than the title, and with that, he decided he would pin a quick note.

While I am have chosen to step down as the Baron of Old Temple, my home still resides there.
Let it be known that if there are any who wish to remain anonymous to this so called screen, know that you will be welcome within my manor. If there are any who so wish to come knocking on my door to try and force myself, or anyone under my care to screen.. they had best make their final arrangements with whatever Gods they see fit to worship.

This stupidity will never pass. If it does, I motion that all Liontaurs must be registered and sent to intern camps where they are to pull carts or till earth with only bread and water as reward.
All in favor?

I would love to say it won't pass G, but the problem is, there are a hand full of mages and other magical users who choose to do wrong with their powers, and by doing so are hurting the majority. I believe this is an ,idiotic, attempt to control the minority.

There's a handful of idiots with swords who choose to do wrong with their weapons. There's a handful of idiots who choose to do wrong with their fists. There's a handful or people who choose to do wrong with their llama's. Etc. Etc. There's no call to register them.Charles Blackstone wrote:G wrote:This stupidity will never pass. I understand, and it is sad that it is being proposed. I am indeed hopeful it doesn't pass, but there have been stranger things pass for even more idiotic reasons. There's a handful of idiots with swords who choose to do wrong with their weapons. Hey.. if they make magic people register. Could they do the same for vampires, werewolves, demons, angels, furry people, necrophiliacs, babyseal clubbers, Watch Members, and other weird creatures that run around? I'd like to know if the girl making my coffee at 8 AM is a hybrid succubus / Venus flytrap.

This madness again? Have we not learned from the last time? The riots... The killing of innocents?
A pity...
My vale is open to all that seek refuge should this come about. Frankly, I would love to see the ones that try to register this old mage...

Thank you for that sage advice, Baroness.Nayun wrote:Little oneMairead Harker wrote:Maybe the lionman should get asked if he wants to have a leash and collar on him all the time. I bet he says no!

It is better to use whips for lions
They are wild creatures
They should be caged
Stay safe if near one
That is all
Wasn't this tried before? And I'm not talking about just here. Like so many times, someone seeks to control what they don't understand, or fear, or just feels like something they should be able to put a leash on.
