Sskkt... sskkt... sskt..
Gagged and bound. Jesse could do nothing but flinch and shake in horror as the giant leeches of House Valentine worked over her flesh. Flesh, second by second, turning ever so pale as the creatures sucked crimson life from her veins.
The watchful eyes of Cadence Valentine looked upon this scene with no remorse. This was the retribution she had written of.
".. Forcing me to act in such a disgracefulness way. A quick, clean death is far too good for the likes of you." Cadence said in a low tone.
Delivery to the Tower of Air came fast enough, and action even faster. The light bindings holding the witch were done away with, and were then replaced by leather. Tightly held, it caused more pain that discomfort to the girl - but that was before the leeches had been applied.. After that, Cadence had grown tired of her screams after the first fifteen minutes and demanded she be gagged so she could suffer her fate in silence.
"Do you feel that? The life draining from you, witch?" Cadence words were stilled by the sounds of chamber doors opening. Beatrix, her rose collared servant, entered the room with an easy stride.
".. Little Mistress, a mortal has come. She seeks to speak with you."
"What for?" Cadence responded. The tone of her voice showing signs of annoyance. Who dare interrupt her revenge?
"It is.. about the witch, little Mistress."
Cadence fell silent. Her deep red eyes looking to the bound woman. Her muffled whimpers, as well as the rhythmic sucking of the leeches were the only sounds that filled the room.
"Tell her to look from the window.."
"As you wish." Beatrix bowed deeply, then left the room.
...
It came swift. Through the view from the window, Jesses lifeless body would fall past. The air whirling about her doll like form with no hint of slowing her down. She fell.. and fell.. and fell.. till she found the ground at the base of the mountain.
From there, at her final resting place -- all that was left was the bloody mess that was once named Jesse.

"Issss it done..? Will the Mistress awaken?"
Whispers..
"Quiet, you imbecile! Delicate work, this is! Let Rothime work..!"
Whispers.. Why can I hear them?
"She who has given us glorious unlife shall be granted the gift as well!"
I can't feel..
"Rothime.. are you sure the fingers go there? They appear to be somewhat.. lopsided?" A crunch was then heard. "There! Much better."
I can't feel.. anything..
"More! We must have more! Turn the cranks, faster!"
The voices.. Nimbious..
"Rothime, you fool! You added too much! Her stomach is about to explode!"
I can't hear you..
"Success..! SUCCESS! She's twitching, can't you see?!"
Jesses eyes fluttered open. The candle lit darkness.. the illuminating light dancing against the familiar stones of her catacomb walls.
Before her. Two balding abominations were standing. Sharing only one eye between the two of them. The one she knew as rothime, a portly yet rotting fellow, quickly moved to snatch the eye out from his partners socket. With a disgusting squelch, the eye rolled about before fixing itself on Jesses resting form.
"You've awaken, Mistress!" He exclaimed proudly. "I told you not to question Rothime!" The man spoke of himself whilst shoving a boney hand against the rattling ribcage of his partner.
"What has happened..?" Jesse's eyes grew wide at hearing her own voice. It sounded different.. eerie. "My voice.."
"Is lovely, Mistress! Far better than the one you held in life!"
Rothime was shoved away and the eye pulled from his socket. His assistant shoved it back into his own and shook his rotting head. "Welcome back, Mistress! We thought we lost you!"
".. What.." Jesse looked to her own hands.. Even in the flickering candle light, she could instantly tell they were not her own.
"Welcome, Mistress" Rothime said. The eyeball now stolen back by him and shoved back into left socket. "To your unlife."
Lips pulled back to show a grinning sort of sneer. Jesse looked up, only to see Rothime holding a mirror before himself. A face that wasn't her own reflected back to her.
Jesses smile grew wider. ".. How fun..!"

Charles had stormed out of his training on the overlord isle with candy as soon as she told him. He was simply pissed. Rage couldn't describe what was being felt. He didn't go to the tower, no the forest that covered part of the isle. As soon as he felt isolated he dropped to his knees and looked directly into the sky
"Why...."
Thats all that could be said for this situation. When you lose a friend that you cared for and no one else did.
"This is all my fault..." He sturttered, searching for words to even say.
"I know what was coming, and I still let this happen. Im so.." He stopped, his gaze falling on the blackness of the forest. A single tear fell to the ground and sizzled against the ground.
"Im sorry" He muttered into the wind, hopefully the words would somehow reach jesse. Like it mattered anyways...
She was dead....
right?
