Final Decision in regards to the Iron Man Tourney.

Post by G »

Okay, I've decided on the resolution. And I know that it will not please everyone. You can't please everyone all the time, and this, apparently, is one of those times.

I know some will say I made the incorrect decision, that it wasn't the best decision, etc, but it's one that I'll have to live with. So be it.

I'm going to keep the tournament as it is, with one catch to it. One of the duelists has pulled out of the tournament due to RL obligations. This leaves a slot open. So, instead of giving whoever the opponent would be(which I had previously determined) a free round advancement, There will be a two week qualification to fill that slot.

So, starting tonight, for this weekend and next weekend, the Warlord with the highest winning percentage against other Peers(Warlords, Barons and Overlord) with a minimum of 5 duels against those peers will get the final spot in the lineup. The next two duelists who finish with the highest percentile should also be present at the time of the tournament in case of other invitees not showing up on time.

When the second weekend is completed, I will do the math to see which three Warlords have the best Percentage, and the top one will get the last invitation. The other two will be stand-bys.

This was going to be a One Time Style of tournament. Consider the lesson learned and that this type of invitational tournament will not happen again. Could it have been done better? Yes. Again, consider this a lesson learned.

This is now a done deal. I know it doesn't please everyone, and I am sorry for that. Whether you believe me or not when I say I did consider every logically presented option carefully over the past two days before coming to my decision will not concern me. The only way some people would believe what I say is if I changed this tournament into the style they wished.

That is all I have to say on this subject. The time and date of this tournament will be released at the conclusion of the second weekend, and before the next set of standings are released for that second weekend. It's up to the Warlords to show up and battle it out for the last position.

Thank you and goodnight.

So if all 7 duelist dropped out.... it could be done the same way with the top 8 qualifiers competing, including those who might have dropped out....
