First Round: Both man and elfling had to work hard to get here. While Tareth's first round matchup with Sartan was competitive...Sartan could never overcome a fairly heavy early lead by Tareth, and was never able to get into a position where he could win. Consider it to be analagous to a duel in which one person takes a heavy lead of 2.5 or 3-0...often, the other combatant just can't make up the difference even if they do get on the ball. Tareth won by two votes.

By contrast, Raiyko Hideo nearly did lose to Cory Havoick. Like Tareth, Cory took an early lead; unlike Tareth, he couldn't maintain it. These two played leapfrog for the entire voting period, before Raiyko finally pulled it off by one vote.
