Tonight, on December 29, 2009, I witnessed the challenge by Teagan Rielea to Baron Cassius Gaius Maximius.

And it was pretty awesome! The Baron chose single elmination, so it was a one-duel affair. Cassius had a pretty strong start with a forceful low parry, but he ducked down into Teagan's thrust to tie it up. They met high in the next round, but Teagan did the same thing Cassius did in round one to take the lead. She did not relinquish that lead for the rest of the duel, though she did not have more than a two point lead until she struck the ending blow, a high cut over Cassius's brace, to end it at 5.5 - 3.0 in 12 rounds.

Teagan Rielea is now the Baroness of Dragon's Gate! She has declared herself loyal. Congratulations to her for her victory, and to Cassius for his reign and for a duel well fought!
