Challenge for Old Temple

Your recent stunt with the public library is not the reason for this challenge. The reason is simple: I want to deprive Anubis of one of his loyal barons, and Vanion unfortunately can't be challenged for a month.

So, with the challenge rights granted to me as a Squire with the rank of Grand Master, I hereby challenge you, Xanth Van Bokkelen.

This challenge is valid as per the rules concerning Grant Masters who also hold the rank of Squire.

I predict that the Good Baron will not even bleed on the night of his challenge. Unfortunately, I doubt that his ghastly mistreatment and the denial of his basic freedoms will end there.

Perhaps, though, the upstart Squire will learn his place.

The challenge was met this evening in the Annex. In a surprising move, The Overlord was not in attendance. However, the intercession was not needed. Perhaps the Overlord had more confidence in his Baron than people realized.

The Baron chose single elimination and handily dispatched his opponent. Xanth retains Old Temple.
